They added 70M in free agents to the payroll last year and we’re still projected to be 50M under the tax threshold. In what world is it unrealistic to sign two starters?
Are we really going to commit less than we did last year after signaling that we were ready to compete? I get there are other needs but there’s not a great free agent market for position players right now.
I’m not persuaded about Paxton, but yeah Lou is being real here.
That said, I am braced for them not landing any of them.
