He’s 36 years old and hasn’t played since 2022. More veterans around the team is a positive I suppose though.
Stackin 36 year olds.
ok
Probably not a great sign for McNeil
Lions liked what they saw in players over 30 lol.
Player/coaches to help some of these position get some mojo back?
Can’t hurt to bring in these veterans for the playoff push. Worked with Irvin last week.
People complaining – what else would you rather we do? Trade deadline is well past.
I’ll never forget when this guy was picked because for a top 10 pick, he was a complete unknown to a ton of people. Then he went and stuck around the league for over a decade.
Anybody to help Hutch get home is good with me.
Thats not the 36 year old DT I was hoping for
Lions really reminding me of the proven Red Wings method. A healthy vet is a great plug into the team.
Bring it on, Alualu!
is suh retired?
Should add Suh, Richard Sherman, and Ray Lewis
I’ll take a low-risk veteran with championship experience on a year’s rest all day. The Irvin signing was laughed at, and all he did was make two massive impact plays in his first action.
wait does this mean alim mcneil is injured?
Can’t expect too much production from these older guys but it absolutely is a good thing for our younger guys to learn and be mentored by these guys.
Goodbye Buggs I guess
Was Broderick Martin a healthy scratch? Didn’t we trade up for that dude? I remember the coaching staff speaking really highly of him, yet he hasn’t done much of anything.
Yea but how are his ACLs?
One more 36 yr old and we will have one for each down.
The Madden strategy of signing high overall players but they’re older than dirt
The Lions are smart as hell. They know these 36 year olds can still play but they’re only going to put in effort for the last month of the season and the playoffs. Let the young bucks carry the weight for the first 3 months.
Why didn’t they sign Shaquille Leonard or Suh?
Big boy Martin needs to step up.
Suh
I was like this guy is SUPER super old, but I realized I mixed him up with Isaac Sopoaga. He’s still super old though
36 year old Suh is next up on the wish list. Come on home!
Out of all the defensive tackles that were drafted in the top 10 of the 2010 draft, this guy would probably the 3rd on the list of guys I expected the Lions to sign.
Veterans sign with good teams. Happens every year. This is a great sign to see it happening with Detroit
“Free Agents in your area are looking to sign!”
What’s Michael Brockers up to these days ?
