What boob said never made much sense. Money is not the limiter this offseason. All words (obfuscated or otherwise) by Hoyer and others in past seasons vs. this season are so different that they are practically shouting they will spend. As much as they were criticized for the lack of desire to spend in past offseasons, I can see why Hoyer is so defensive when it gets wrongly stated this offseason. Especially in regards to a unicorn like Ohtani. He had every right to get in boob’s face about it.
Guarantee some of the non-stop doomer fans will latch onto that comment though and use it to feed negativity every time something goes wrong next season.
