  1. Oh baby here comes a blockbuster!

Jk…he’s a fast and hard working 4th liner and Pk specialist. He recently passed through waivers unclaimed so I’m guessing we’re retaining salary and getting a 7th rounder, or a 4th liner you guys don’t want, or even “future considerations”. Best of luck Robby!

  2. Who? Why? Fuck it. Whatever.

*edit – Wow. Looked him up. He has over 250 NHL games and I’ve literally never heard of him.

  3. Apparently he scored a hat-trick against us last year which I must’ve selectively deleted from my memory.

  4. As a CBJ and Sabres fan this is a great target for us. He’s not a game changer but he’s one of those 4th liners that brings so much value than the stat sheet shows.

he’s also one of the fastest guys in the league

  5. It’s . . . something.

It could spark something within the team? If Jost or E. Johnson are heading the other way, it could send the message that there are consequences for bad play.

Hopefully, this indicates that Adams knows his decisions in the offseason were bad. For people wanting an immediate shakeup, there isn’t too much to be done via trade in December. But I’m gonna cling to some optimism and hope that Adams will be more aggressive in adding capable vets to guide this young team along when there are better options available at the deadline and next summer.

  6. Not a bad move he’s known for being fast and definitely a bigger body guy could be beneficial to help our 4th line out I’m guessing since he was waived like not too long ago we won’t be giving up much if anything

  7. Truth of the matter is this. The offseason was the time to impact this team. Making a season turning trade in season is difficult at best.

  8. First and foremost, I understand Robinson is not a top 6 forward who lights the scoreboard up. but at this point, I’m fine with the trade. Everyone has been screaming for more sandpaper so here it is, probably the same people saying this trade sucks without letting him even join the team before forming an opinion. I’m not saying he’s going to be great for us but if he’s actually tough and fast, that gives our team something we currently don’t have.
I’m going to let him get a few games before I call him dogshit.
At the very least, maybe he will actually fight back when one of our young players gets mugged in front of the net.
