Fox showed improvement each season, Green has been almost identical every damn season
PG is a much harder position to learn.
Can’t compare a PG to a SG. Jalen doesnt have Fox’s playmaking
Damn I’m sure this will be a civilised and reasonable comment thread
Green is gonna be here for a while. Let it go
It’s not about stats…it’s about consistency and efficiency
lol the goal post keeps moving with Green for a lot of y’all. Be critical of a 3rd year player that went 2nd overall and isnt really making any big steps forward like he should. It isn’t a bad thing for fans to want more of a player that was drafted to be a star.
No offense to Fox but I’m not looking for our lottery pick SG to be Fox
We went from being the laughingstock of the league to .500 overnight despite a garbage schedule and yet we can’t stop bitching about Green. I get it he’s not living up to his expectations *yet*. But what do we expect, that Jalen just turns it on after reading the Reddit comments lol? We’re easily the most improved team in the NBA, this is supposed to fun for fucks sake
Dude is on a rookie contract. Who cares. His value will come and let’s complain it about then if he gets 40 mil/ year based on what he’s doing now.
Edit: My bad forgot he signed for 40 mil already for 4 years. Still not that bad. If you think brooks is worth his contract, green is only showing up for half the games. Sounds about right.
Look at their fg %. Fox has a way better shot selection than Jalen Green.
I’m lukewarm on green
He’ll work it out. In many ways this is his rookie season playing in a competent system.
This is hilarious look at year 2 and 3 for fox. Look at the FG%
Idk why we can’t just hold our takes til the all star break on him. The biggest attribute he needs to work on is his consistency. I want to see him put a month of good basketball together before I get too hyped for him. Not 2 games. The clock is ticking. I’m hoping he can figure out because if he can’t, I have a feeling Whitmore can. And I don’t wanna wait to give him the time we gave Jalen. As a rocket fan, that’s not a bad spot to be in. Especially in the 1st year of a very coveted coach. Something tells me Udoka will look to make a move sooner than later. Dude wants to win.
He did well this game to be honest. He worked hard on defense and helped out on rebounds as well. He got left out at the last quarter because of that unreal Aaron Holiday shooting streak, and that’s fine.
Just don’t expect him to be the main guy over Sengun anytime soon, and you won’t be disappointed. You already got a near-all-star in his 3rd year from 2021 draft. If Jalen becomes a major contributor in a good team, that is still a win in terms of rebuilding success. This may even work out better in a couple years since Rockets can keep him without giving him the max.
