Goal 1: Larkin’s pass made an unlucky bounce of skate. Led to breakaway and a goal. Husso again, was way to far out of net to be able to save a 2 – – Husso: 33% blame.
goal 2: Sieder tried to catch a puck being cleared down the ice during a rw pp but caught only a little bit of it causing it to be tipped right to a SJS player at center ice. Caught flat footed and sjs break away and score.
– Husso blame: 50%,
– Seider blame: 90%
goal3: stretch pass by SJS1 from behind SJS net to SJS2 uncovered on RW blue line. ends up being a 2 on 1. I think Husso could’ve done a better job on this one. He was too far out net, away from goal post giving him zero chance to make to the other side of the net to make a save.
– Husso blame: 10%
goal4: Walman tried to stop a puck along the wall at the blue line in the offensive zone but was too far back. Gets fucked. I think is what did the team in. Husso seems jumpy, with no faith in the defense to attempt any kind of defending. Husso is being emotionally abused.
– Husso blame: 25% He seemed jumpy on this one, and he kind of got completely fucked again. Defense all out of position. I think this mentally fucked the team.
– Walman blame: 90%
goal5: Husso was way too far out from his net allowing SJS to bank a shot off the boards and a SJS player to toss it. Husso too far out of net left back completely open with two SJWs behind him.
– Husso Blame: 100%
goal 6: Husso Didn’t really have a good chance on this one. Looks like he was counting on Larkin to be able to catch up.
– Husso blame: 55% Everyone fucked up here, but he got baited too far from the net. You can see him struggling to get back into position to make the save.
All in all I’m not as annoyed with Husso. I wish Lalonde just swapped him out with Lyon after the 2nd. Pretty sure Husso was cracking under the pressure at this point, and we’ve seen Lyon do decent under pressure last year for FLA in the playoffs. Husso could’ve used the 3rd to go out back for a ciggy and listen to a guided mindfulness meditation tape.

Often we say the team needs to have trust in the Goalie to make a save, but No one ever mentions that a goalie needs some trust in the defense. 😪

Bad games will happen. The overall is positive.
Goal 5 felt like a boneheaded Reimer move to me.
I’ve thought about this a little and it’s like Husso is always 1 goal too many. 1 extra crucial steal to keep the game alive. I can’t tell if he’s just not 100%, letting his guard down or gassed.
All I can hope for at the moment is these are learning experiences and he will correct them but thats not promised

Goal 1 shot from above the hash marks, he should have had that one. Yes there was a bone headed turn over from Larkin should have chipped to the guy on the boards rather than shoot/pass through a mess.
And how many times has Raymond miss handling a puck lead to a turnover goal? I can count two critical ones this season
