Someone needs to be held accountable
He wanted matt canada and kept him for 3 damn seasons and the owner had to step in to get canada fired!!! He wanted kenny pickett and was excited when we drafted him!!! He is coaching this defense that let bailey zappe throw all over them!! He needs to be held accountable for his lackluster results for yearssss now.
As fans how exactly do we do that? And I’m not asking this sarcastically, I just don’t understand how anything we do aside from boycotting the product altogether to attempt to force change would actually accomplish anything.

All these players like to play for him because they can all act like asses and there is no accountability. It’s fun. Make a bunch of money and your coach is your best buddy. Never worked anywhere. His time is done. Rooney needs to start turning the page on the Tomlin era
Many empty seats there tonight
According to his fans, he has no agency. Things just “happen” to him, it’s always someone else’s fault (a terrible roster, a terrible OC) or bad luck (injuries). He is never the root cause of any of the team’s shortcomings.
I think I understand the people defending Kenny now. I now realize that Kenny HAS to be the guy or else the Steelers are fucked with no foreseeable end in sight, so they are doing a lot of hoping. Shit we all may as well hop on that train now with the coaching this year.
I will blame him for the state of the offense while also giving him credit for the state of the defense.

Mitch fucked up a lot of plays tonight and just was not good. He threw a deep pass on 4th when there were quite a few open around him
I just don’t see how any other play-calling could’ve resulted in a win
He’s a good coach, but he’s definitely past his expiration date

Well, you see, the standard is the stardard. And apparently the standard is zero minutes of game prep and dogshit performance on gameday.

Who in the fuck are the leaders on this offense?! There is absolutely nobody you can count on. They are fucking rudder less!
Where he’s losing me is when it comes down to real time, in game decisions.
Seems to be no rhyme or reason or consistency.
He sucks at challenges and clock management. Timeout usage is suspect. I could not believe we burned timeouts in the second half the way we did.
I never know if we are going to kick a FG or punt or go for it. We have no identity in that regard. Thought for sure we’d let Boswell make it a 1 score game on that 4th and 2.
Don’t even get me started on the play calling and game theory decisions around the 2 min warning.
Feels like he’s just making a decision with no rhyme or reason sometimes.
I said this in the game thread, but this might be our most poorly coached team since prior to Noll. This has to be our lowest point in decades. Multiple illegal formations for the same exact issue across multiple games. Multiple wasted timeout across multiple games. This isn’t just a one game issue. When is the last time we meaningfully attacked another team’s weakness? Meanwhile Belicheck knows we can’t cover TEs so he goes to that well until it’s 21-3. Just disappointing overall.
I can not take another person saying but he’s had a winning record every year since he’s taken over. Being over .500 every year is the most meaningless bullshit stat. Especially if it’s not backed up with real success. I can not defend this guy anymore. Let’s keep in mind he could do nothing with the Killer B’s. When will we wake up. The media overhypes this guy
Imagine if we had a quarterback that could throw on target. So many passes over thrown or the receivers needed to adjust a lot to make the play. Mitch and Kenny can go kick rocks.
Tomlin is just like a conductor in an orchestra. He will bounce back or he can leave. :
Never will happen when you’ve got guys like Rich Eisen shooting down any criticism of Tomlin and calling anyone who does criticize him an idiot. All big media heads outside of Pittsburgh would never allow anyone to say anything remotely negative about his coaching performance
