Why sign one of the best players of all time when you can load up on 1b/dh types and bullpen arms
On one hand, that’s a lot of money. Like, a lot of money. After surgery too.
On the other hand, it’s hard to take this franchise seriously (as if you needed a reminder) knowing how little they are willing to pay (compared to other teams).
At least the Cubs didn’t get him. We wouldn’t hear the end of that shit.
