Being a Giants fan is so depressing

I knew we had a slim chance but I was on team anyone BUT THE DODGERS. Now we will probably try to sign some Carlos Correa-esk player, fumble that too, and end up with a few 1 year contracts of semi known free agents

  1. The giants should have found a deal with Correa last year. They’d be lucky to attract a player like him

  2. My hatred towards farzan zabidi continues

    platooning?

money ball and signing trash players to get lucky and hit on a reclamation project?

    what a joke dude

giants are becoming a joke with farhan at lead, im not joking.

our players are fucking c-tier level,
i hope the young guys produce but watching Casey smitt, I ain’t spelling ur name correct bitch, whine on how he’s getting called on strikes as a rookie is embarrassing. Bitch calm down.

Last year, we fucking pulled out the young boyz for a playoff run?

    Fucjing traded for pollock?

Mitch habitat? Haniger? I ain’t spelling your names correct either.

God this is so embarrassing that I’m not even mad.

Why would anyone want to watch this team or give this team money.

u expect me to watch a boring ass team with thrift store players? I don’t think so bro

  3. Nah, paying $70 million a year to a guy who is very injury prone is depressing. That contract won’t age well at all🤣 I’m glad Farhan didn’t go that high

  4. And if they spend $810 million on him and then couldn’t fill out the roster with other decent players, you’d complain about that too.

  5. We should have just paid him a flat billion to come here, amirite?

I’m sorry, man, but the Dodgers just made a mistake and this sub is acting like the world just ended.

  6. Outbid and outclassed. This was a make or break for Farhan. Pack your bags b$tch. Maybe some work for you in Oakland.

  7. We have New York level whiny fans. I hate the Dodgers but no other team was going to scratch that contract. That’s fucking Saudi money. All we can do is move on.

  8. The Dodgers will win 120 games next season and lose again in the first or second round of the playoffs.

  9. If the 9ers win it all this year it will sting less. But yeah, I’m completely deflated about baseball for the foreseeable future.

  10. This is depressing, best case scenario is if he signed with an AL team. I honestly don’t want to hang 700m over our team for ten years like that. So much can go wrong.

  11. Personally, as much as I wish he was anywhere else, I am glad he isn’t a Giant. I adore shohei, but the giants would’ve been stuck with this huge deal and have shown they won’t be spenders to build the team around him.

The Dodgers will have another star with Shohei and keep trying to attract FA forever. That’s not who we are.

I’ll be much happier if we can get Yamamoto and/or Bellinger and not have all our eggs in a $700,000,000 basket

  12. Sucks he didn’t sign with Toronto but I’m glad we aren’t paying a 30 year old DH on his second TJ $700 million. Fuck that.

  13. Spend all that money, to have a mickey mouse championship when we won with pitching and defense 3 out of 5 years, I’m not depressed yet.

  14. Shohei was up on his pedestal this whole time saying that he wanted to win and that money was not a factor.

Proceeds to play the jays against the dodgers to drive up his money and sign with a team known for choking in the postseason. Bum. Can’t wait to boo him at Oracle.

  15. If Farhan can’t have a successful season after getting Kapler fired then he needs to go. It’ll only prove that his mid-player signings are his fault too.

Promises to build a farm, we barely have that.

Promises to sign key free agents, we get outbid/fail to sign them.

I’ve had much faith in the guy but when you fail to build one of the two ways to make a successful team, then what is he here for?

Great, now im getting pessimistic not only at the warriors but at the giants too. I don’t want to, I don’t like it, but I do want to hope.

  16. man… all I wanted was for him to not go to the Dodgers or Yankees, and secondarily not the Cubs (who would still fuck things up, anyway)…

here’s hoping the Dodgers continue losing to inferior teams in the playoffs!

  17. I’ll always love the Giants especially for the 3 in 5, but I am disappointed the direction this team is going since Farhan took over. Aside from 2021 this team is just borderline unwatcheable.
