It’s said that RBs don’t mean a whole lot to winning these days…..I wonder just how valuable guys like him or Emmitt were, guys who got 20+ touches consistently and were the focal point of an offense. It’s sloppy, but I miss 90s football sometimes. I’ll often look up NFL Primetime highlights to go back in time.
That’s one of his less spectacular runs. No doubt the greatest running back of all time. Wonder if we will ever see another who even comes close. Been what 24 years.
It’s hard for me to imagine there is an entire adult generation that never got to see him during his playing career. It’s one thing to watch highlights, it’s another to not know what was coming while sitting on the edge of your seat every time he touched the ball.
Certainly better than Jim Brown
one of the things i always noticed about Barry’s running style, when he hit top speed and was chugging his gait seemed uneven, like one of his legs was faster than the other. You’d often notice it when his head would bob in time with one leg.
