  7. Listen I get that everyone in here is gonna repeat the cliche “we played so bad, don’t even bring up the refs” takes, but eventually this team has to come out and take a stand about it. We habitually complain in here about how the refs have a bias against the chiefs as seen in multiple situations throughout this season with the juwan Taylor targeting and PI’s not being called, opponents offensive holding etc, these things either aren’t called for other teams, or calls that we should get aren’t called,and then when the team does reach their breaking point and decide to voice their opinion, suddenly everyone in here turns on them. You can’t have it both ways, either you want them to voice their complaints or you don’t

  13. Reid is probably right, but ultimately I don’t think it’s worth complaining about either. The team has been making these kinds of basic mistakes all year. Maybe they shouldn’t have sucked all the talent out of the skill positions, while simultaneously having them coached by guys like Nagy and Embree.

  20. There was a game last year between Washington and the Giants where a similar call was made against Washington that cost them the game. It’s a grey around asking the ref and getting the “OK.”

    In the end, Toney was offsides and relying on the official to tell you whether or not you’re “good” is unreliable, at best.

  22. Toney was offsides. I don’t care about the rest of it, he was offsides. I get everyone is frustrated but what about the fact that the Chiefs had multiple drives to take the lead in the 4th quarter and failed to do so on all of them? Hell, the Bills had the worst clock management I’ve ever seen in my entire football watching life before the two minute warning and the Chiefs still couldn’t get it done. Refs are a symptom this year, not the problem. They have been terrible league-wide but fixing the refs isn’t going to fix this team.

    I hope Andy and Pat are finally pissed off enough to light a fire. They need to go full on Coach Yost in Remember the Titans in order to get this team back on track.

  23. Literally 2.5/4 NFL fans are fucking stupid. People don’t know the rules and they don’t care to know the rules. They only care if it benefits them or hurts a team they don’t like. The majority of NFL fans interpret the rules as “if something good happened to my favorite team, it’s a good call, if something good happened to a team I don’t like, it’s a conspiracy”.

    The reality is this game is worth billions of dollars. Name one thing on this planet worth billions of dollars that isn’t corrupted by greedy supervillain fuck faces? It’s the nature of money. I’ve loved this game my whole life, but the fact is it’s only as legitimate as the people controlling it. It’ll never be TRUE competition. It’s obviously not 100% scripted like pro wrestling, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to acknowledge that we ARE being sold an artificial product week after week. Not just our team either, it’s literally the blueprint of the NFL. By nature, it’s not a legitimate “contest”. It’s an artificial, manufactured contest with pre-established conditions that fans and teams are not aware of. It’s just “close enough” so we accept it.

  25. The ref said the offsides was so egregious (which it was), they couldn’t give advice. Y’all got to stop complaining, you’re acting like Patriots fans for god sakes. The team lost because of Toney, deal with it.

OP wasn’t saying that Toney wasn’t lined up offsides, the point of the post was if you’re gonna call it against one team, you should call it on the other team when they’re both equally over the line. I don’t think that’s asking too much. It’s not whether it was a good call or bad call, it’s just gotta be called consistently.

  39. Mahomes and Reid sound and look pathetic. He was clearly offsides, and it was called immediately. Play by the rules and they win.

  40. Someone should rewatch every play and check how often it could have been called. It would be interesting if they didn’t call it multiple times all game and then only called it on this one.

  41. Investigate all refs for gambling on games, we all know it’s happening. Time for a government sports commission to bring some accountability and oversight to this clearly corrupt league. These leagues can’t be trusted to police themselves anymore.

  43. I gotta tell you having not watched football in a while it’s shocking to see what Andy looks like now. He looks 100 pounds heavier than the last time I saw him. I haven’t since he coached the Eagles so it’s been a while. It’s not just the weight but he’s old looking so …not exactly looking like a picture of health. Looks like he’s about to explode
