1. To everyone crying the wings “need to make people pay for this”, what do you think Perron did? We not only defended Larkin we went way over the line (which is fine by me) and likely going to get suspended 3-4 games. WHAT MORE DO YOU PEOPLE WANT

8. What the heck happened to Compher? First they tried to label it a personal day off, then a night off, then day to day, and now IR?

10. I guess the one “bright” side is that Compher is still eligible to come off of IR as early as tomorrow.
    But yeah ouch. Tough blows to the team here at once. Kostin’s illness must be brutal too if he’s missing time and now out at least another 3 days

11. Time to play with some heart and grind it out!

12. In case anyone isn’t aware, IR requires a minimum 7 days’ stay. So at this point, Compher is eligible to return as early as tomorrow against STL, Kostin Thursday against CAR, and Larks Saturday against PHL. Who knows if that will happen, but it’s the minimum requirement.

    According to capfriendly, Czarnik, ZAR, and Berggren are all emergency recalls. That means that as soon as we hit the 18-2 healthy skater minimum, they have to either head back to GR or go through a regular recall and all the waiver and salary implications that may come along with them.

    Welp see how this goes…just hope everyone’s okay soon enough!

17. If they can stay around .500 in the games without compher and larks that would be a huge win. I unfortunately think we are about to skid. Going to need to play some serious team defense and rely on the Kane Debrincat powerplay unit for goals.

21. Damn. Well, as much as this sucks, this is what championship teams need to deal with. And, it will be very interesting to see how the boys handle this and what heroes emerge.

    If we can get out of this going .500, that would be a great sign. That is what championship teams do, hold down the fort.

    D needs to step it up, Raymond is going to need to score more, we’ll need consistent depth scoring out of Sprong, Ras and Veleno need to up their point totals, Husso’s .886 isn’t going to cut it, we’ll need Lyon to steal some games, and Kane and Cat need to produce as advertised.

    We can do it. I think we have the motivation and the coaching staff to make it happen.

    Fingers crossed. Great opportunity for some of the guys on the team to be a hero.

    I was just thinking last week how nice it is to have the depth, but grateful we haven’t “needed it” yet.

    So it begins.

24. This is kind of what’s crazy to me about our rebuild. Our starting lineup has essentially only a few pieces of the rebuild on it. The obvious Raymond, Mo, Veleno, Ras yet we have three guys down and there’s not one exiting offensive call up. Nobody that we’re stoked to see.
