Amazing how many Islanders fans spent years shitting on this guy after he got picked. It’s taken him a while but he’s turning into a decent player. Not a superstar but a solid middle six guy. Good for him.

Remember that time when he was drafted and everyone said “who?”.
While it’s great to see Holmstom become a player, selling out on offense when killing a penalty is dangerous. Twice in the past 3 games Holstrom selling out on pk offense cost us. Tonight it was the Bortizzo penalty the other night in Boston he went hard to the net and fell down ultimately letting up a goal.
I love that he is becoming a player and that the coaching staff is giving him the opportunity to play on PK and seeing that he can be useful in shootout. When you play pk offense you have to get a shot on goal or your defense is put in a bad position.
