Becton is on like a 5 game stretch of playing like one of the worst LT in football. Laken isn’t helping him that much either. Also, keith carter should be let go
But Saleh has to keep paying his boys! Or else bekton is going to throw a temper tantrum on X
The whole left side isn’t good becton and Tomlinson are terrible, McGovern was great at run blocking but not so great at pass blocking, tipps a rookie and learning but played pretty well and the right side was playing like a 3rd string rg and carter warren who should of never got replaced by becton as a LT those two positions aren’t interchangeable as this FO thinks they are
Becton gave up 3.5 sacks against Miami last Sunday.
There are top-end guys who don’t give up that many sacks in a *full season.*
One of the more positive developments of this season is Becton revealing himself as the bottom-5 LT that he is, and not tricking the Jets into thinking he’s worth redeeming via a franchise tag or worse (a second contract) in 2024.
I’ve been wanting to move on from Becton since the Big Fat Bust shirt presser, but good riddance!
So as I have been saying all along, Becton was a bust. He used to be a fat bust, now he’s just a bust.
Whatever the best money and trades can buy in OL should be our top priority this offseason
It’s fairly clear that the coaching staff has been fed up with Becton for a long time. Better for all if they parted ways.
I’m not a Zach Truther but if 2.2 seconds is the time a QB gets to make a decision and Zach get less than half of that, it’s going to destroy you.
Zach, just sling it man. It can’t get any worse.
Becton is a draft bust and Laken Tomlinson is one of the worst FA signings in Jets history (when you consider the money he makes relative to the damage he’s done on the field).
Neither should be on the team next season unless we’re able to sign Becton to some cut-rate amount to be a swing tackle off the bench.
Becton is one of many from that Oline that has to go. QB is not the problem. Doesn’t make a difference who’s there they won’t be protected. Big reason Aaron won’t play this season. I’m not even sure he’d be back next season with Jets unless there are those changes. I’d love to see the team sold to new owners who really care.
Wasn’t Becton good his first year? At least until his injury….
