  1. Scream about the Tonyan drop, but this is also likely a huge monster gain if our QB could QB and not just be an athlete with a cannon. But of course, no one gives a shit because our QB is allowed to make mistakes, but everyone else has to be perfect.

  2. Fields strikes me as guy who just doesn’t comprehend everything that’s going on all over the field. He’s a classic case of an Uber talented guy who can make every throw and when he knows exactly what he’s looking at or the first read is wide open he rips the ball and looks great but as soon as live bullets start flying and you need to react quickly to things that weren’t drawn up on a chalkboard so to speak he panics and doesn’t know what to do

  3. JFC.

These are routine plays that he constantly misses. Bears fans are just blinded by the occasional flashes.

  4. He wasn’t throwing the ball away there, guys. He was just finally throwing with anticipation. He knew the Browns were getting the ball back soon, take it now on the sidelines please!

  5. I think Fields ended his bears career at this game. Or at least extinguished the last hope if it.

  6. To me this is more of an example of what consistent pressure does to Fields at this point in his career. He doesn’t trust what he sees even though it’s a perfectly called screen (for once) and throws it away for no reason when it’s wide open. We’ve mentally broken him and it’s probably best for both sides to get a new chance this off-season. I still think fields can be a great QB in this league, but the opportunity is just to good likely to not take a shot at a rookie QB.

I’ve watched a lot of Fields breakdowns, this one is a lot different and worrying than what we’ve seen prior.

  7. It’s not H1M’s fault.. he’s traumatized by all of the friggin screens Getsy called!! HE HAS PTSD AND YOU GUYS ARE MOCKING HIM!!! LEAVE FUCKING JUSTIN ALONE!! LEAVE H1M ALONE!

  8. he’s getting pressured and almost sacked and has to throw it over a lineman. no qb is able to make that throw

  9. I will take this another level — this is a throw that out of all the QB’s in the upcoming draft, Caleb Williams is probably best equipped to make because of his lightning fast release and decent footwork.

  10. Best case scenario is Justin plays his ass off these last 3 games and his trade value goes way up. As much as I wanted him to be the guy, I doubt he’s here next year.

  11. ~~Ben watches JT O’Sullivan, apparently. That’s word for word what JT said, except I think he had ‘dawg’ after ‘screen’.~~

Edit: Derp, I can’t run sound and didn’t realize he was actually playing JT’s clip.

  12. I know Moore and others have been vocal supporters of Fields, and we have all wondered wtf the coaches are doing to communicate to Justin what he needs to do, but if there are several of these plays every game how do his teammates not come to him in the locker room and tell him him he has got to be better.

He doesn’t have the luxury of just throwing the ball away on a perfectly setup screen pass, a play where making a read isn’t even necessary.

I feel like his teammates should tell him that he is costing them wins and and in the process hurting other player’s stats which in turn takes money out of their pockets. Even defensive players should let him know that holding the ball is making it easier for defenses to read him.

  13. I feel like there is a play to be made there with #12 if Fields throws to him when he has separation before the safety comes over to help.

Edit: just realized #12 is VJJ but I still think that’s an easy completion if Fields goes to him at the right time. The screen is an even easier one.

  14. As much as Flus and Getsy need to be shown the door the second the clock hits “0:00” in Green Bay…if you’re one of them, what do you even do with this play? What do you even say?

You can’t show this in the Monday morning film review, unless your goal is just to completely humiliate Justin Fields. They almost have to pretend like this play never happened.

We desperately need better coaches, better receivers behind DJM, and a better O-line, but how can anyone even pretend at this point that those things will fix the issues with JF1? It’s judgment, not talent. Tyson Bagent, or pretty much any other QB in the league from Mahomes down to Tim Boyle, could have run this play on the first day of training camp.

  15. Just to defend Fields here, he likely thinks it’s a tipped ball or an interception. The design of this screen likely has Braxton Jones in front of his man and not behind him.

Just my two cents but it looks like Justin pulled back because of that.

  16. What was it on ESPN Radio today… something like 9 of 10 GMs interviewed would draft Caleb and trade Fields?

  17. Fields is 90% dogshit, but the other 10% is so good that we actually have to have this dumb QB drama until draft night.
