I mean this feels like a forgone conclusion that the other 3 teams up their offer as soon as they don’t get Yamamoto and the Pirates don’t and drop out, but it would be nice
This would be a great signing if they could do it. Yariel is absolutely filthy from the games I’ve seen him pitch
This would be an amazing addition, he’s not guaranteed a starter but he and Bednar would make a nasty setup/closer duo if he can’t start.
I imagine he’ll come in around $10 million a year, which is doable for this team IMO. Just a question of whether the Pirates will get outbid here. One advantage the Pirates do have other the other 3 is rotation spots that they can promise him.
This is probably the other big move that was hinted at. I hope we make a competitive bid
