  1. tl;dr Nike’s template is reducing the spacing between the piping and the edges of the uniform by approximately 1 inch. For teams that use script text across the chest (such as the Dodgers and Cardinals), it affects where the button line hits on the script, even they don’t use piping.

  2. Don’t make me tap the “please for the love of god stop changing things only for the sake of changing them” sign

  3. Use the edge of the left overlap as the stationary point instead of the buttons. Tweak it a little if it looks wonky

Is it really that hard so as to avoid a weird split?

  4. We used to have it so good with uniforms across the board, then Fanatics monopolized the entire business.

I hate that they’re in charge of fan apparel. I hate that they’re gonna make on-ice NHL equipment. I hate everything about Fanatics.

  5. Nike doing kits half assed? What else is new? Jesus.
Nike has been ass for like 10 years or so

  6. Even worse: we’re doing patches now instead of direct embroidery? I never thought BDW III would stand for that. ~~The chain stitching is what made them the best in the business.~~ I’m glad I got my jerseys before the dark ages of Nike and Stifel. Wish I had gotten a cream alt in that time though

Edit: ok, so it’s still chain stitched, but not directly into the jersey. Still a massive downgrade

  7. Wait wait wait, is the Cardinals lettering no longer going to be chainstitched? According to the article it says it’s now going to be composed of two patches instead of being direct embroidered. If that does remove the chainstitching then this may be able to be classified as an act of terrorism.

  8. I know this wasn’t the point of the article but I’m glad I didn’t realize the previous Giants jerseys were wonky until after the change

  9. Huh, never before in my life have I wanted to learn everything there is to know about jersey manufacturing, until now.
