  1. This is about them reaching out to other pitchers on Monday, doesn’t seem that related to Yamamoto imo. I mean, they’ve been engaged with other starters earlier in the off-season too (Lugo).

You’d think if they’ve been out since Monday that info would’ve come out by now

  2. Red sox is working to get starting pitching and don’t want to hurt long term contracts such as 9-12 years length. Hurts the championships window.

  3. Lmao the amount of whining about YY on this sub is insane. We’re multiple pieces away guys. Yamamoto isn’t going to make or break us either way.

I personally hope they don’t sign him, the contract is going to be a huge risk and there are better ways for us to address our needs this offseason.

  4. How did John Henry manage to break and start a new curse in the span of 20 years? Almost impressive

  5. I’m so tired of this. We have reached the point where a prospect is setting the market for a dude who has won 2 cy youngs in the past 5 years, and a guy who is a big old solid number 2 lefty. Consider me checked out until march.

  6. I think as of a couple minutes ago, everyone but the dodgers have been eliminated from Yamamoto bidding

  7. Great news! The Yamamoto sweepstakes are over! Now we can all stop pretending that Red Sox ownership gives a shit enough to build a competitive team and we can start planning what to replace Red Sox baseball with this summer. Also fuck the Dodgers

  8. What sucks is they knew they weren’t going to be the best offer, so why waste all that time? Why not steal a march on the rest of the losers of the Yamamoto sweepstakes and be laser focused on Snell/Montgomery this whole time?

We saw the Phillies and even lowly KC use this strategy to good effect, they both already secured their big offseason SP signing.

  9. Off to the Dodgers. Are we glad we didn’t sign 300million? I don’t know. I was and still hoping we do something this trade period. We are a big market team acting like the bloody Pirates when it comes to spending. If someone can share more light on this, I’d love to hear.
