  8. It wasn’t an oil painting by any stretch, but I will definitely take it. To be first place in the entire league is something I never thought I would see from Vancouver this season. The team is 7-0-2 in the past nine games and 8-1-2 this month. I thought the first line looked good, but there are some things to clean up, but overall, I thought they were solid. Hopefully, the power play can build off of tonight’s game. They looked solid and created lot’s of chances. Overall, I am really happy with the team, and they have definitely earned some much needed rest and recovery

  14. First game i was able to see this year. You know what frustrated me the last seasons? The sloppy passing. Most passes just went nowhere for whatever reason. Now it’s tight. Pucks get where they are intended to go. And pretty passes work. It’s such a fun team to watch now.

  15. I would like to point out in 2011 also Dec 23 game was a 7-3 win over Columbus. Also in 2011 and now 2023 the game on Dec 28 are both against the Flyers….

  19. Some dicey moments but offensively we scored 6 non empty net goals so can’t complain there. Thank God we did enough to avoid the trap game. Now the boys get a well deserved break and move on to the Flyers! Always take it one game at a time boys

  20. This was a poor game played by the boys especially defensively by the Petey line. If anyone thought the guys played a good game is delusional, overall this team can get away with playing poorly against bad teams like the Sharks but if they’re going to show up like this against better teams then well we are going to get clapped.

  25. Nothing makes me laugh more than going back to threads from a month ago when the Oilers were heating up and laughing at all their fans who thought the wheels were gonna fall off for the Canucks

  28. I just love how Tocchet has connected with these players.

    He has the brain to surround himself with great ex players to help coach. Hall of famers, all stars I mean it’s just coaching by committee.

    He also has his finger in the pulse to make changes and reward players with ice time and they pay him back with goals.

    Just friken awesome to see.

  31. great they got the win and 2 points, but that was some very poor defensive showing against one of the worst teams in the league, rest up for the Christmas break and go back to how they were playing last week
