[Wagoner] #49ers coach Kyle Shanahan indicated he doesn’t believe stinger issue for QB Brock Purdy will linger. Purdy potentially could have gone back in but Shanahan kept him out given the score and OL situation.

  1. Kyle a lil too pass happy that game. Ravens took away the quick stuff and Brock got smothered all night.

Also, Kyle has got to get that rb2 figured out

  2. Well that’s always been the way to beat Kyle’s offense.

It’s why they drafted Trey. A potential RPO qb that can throw bombs if the running game is sputtering & all the dink & dunk stuff is covered.

If the Niners don’t or can’t establish the run from here on out, they’re gonna have a bad time.

  3. This team is built to win one way.
By getting a lead and hiding their bad pass pro and running the ball..and rushing the passer.

Our 2 big weaknesses…run defense and pass blocking get exposed when we trail coz then we have to throw the ball under pressure and the other team runs the ball.

That said…today just about buries Purdy’s MVP chances and CMC’S too….Lamar stands alone now.

That may be a good thing…the whole MVP stuff and conversations may have been a distraction to the team

The SuperBowl is the target..not individual accolades..now they can all focus on being great in the playoffs.

  4. I really hate our fanbase acting like they know what kyle should do. We knew their defense could be a big problem, but that was rough. Despite really getting destroyed in the turnover battle the game was closer than it should have been until the 4th pick basically sealed it, which showed this teams ability to stay in a game. I doubt we will see another 3+ int game any time soon.

Sometimes when you’re feeling yourself it can be good to get humbled. As great as the Ravens looked, I’m not confident they’ll be the AFC team to make it to the SB, and even if they do I think the Niners will have taken this personally and be ready to compete.

  5. The offense is predicated on being able to keep the defense off-balance by being able to run or pass out of similar looking formations. As soon as the other team gets a lead and you’re forced to pass, you basically lose all of those big advantages, and the weakness of the offensive line gets really exposed

  6. Geez come back from the ledge. You guys lost to the #1 seed in the opposite conference. Even with the loss, the 49ers are still the #1 seed and overwhelming favorite to get the bye and home field throughout the playoffs. Every team has games like this. Calm down.

  7. The O-line is what keeps me up at night. Everything else we have is world-class. I know the other elements will bounce back. However, it’s starting to look like we are on a collision course (no pun intended) with a disappointing playoff result and an injured/ruined franchise QB because we gambled on protection. I hope I’m wrong.
