Where did you hear we might get Kuzmenko? 2 kuzys on this team will be insane
It will be interesting to see if Vancouver moves him or just rides it out. He’s signed through next year and they’re not really in a position to take salary back on in a trade and even if he’s not a big contributor right now you don’t really want to disrupt team chemistry while winning.
Would they want pending UFA Mantha? Probably not. But it is a low risk and they get out from under the contract for next year. That said, Mantha alone isn’t nearly enough so what else? Picks? Prospects?
Can’t see Vancouver wanting Kuznetsov either and certainly can’t afford his contract for next season.
Do you try to move a young D like Alexeyev who hasn’t really found his way in Washington?
You’re not getting a 40g scorer in Kuzmenko for free. There’s going to be a price and this team doesn’t have a whole lot that it can part with without it hurting.
