[Talkin Giants] Giants End of Season Poll Results 94% believe Joe Schoen is the right GM for the Giants while 93% believe Brian Daboll is the right Head Coach. Only 38% of fans believe Mike Kafka should be back. 87% believe Wink Martindale should be back so an unpopular decision could be coming.

1. I’m predicting clean sweep of coordinator firings. Thomas McGaughey has finally run out of chances and with Ken Dorsey available Brian Daboll will give him serious consideration as new OC.

   I don’t know what Wink will do after leaving Giants. His chances of being a head coach have dried up.

2. you can’t look at how abysmal our tackling has been and not consider it a coaching issue

3. If 100% of the fanbase doesn’t believe Bobby Johnson should be gone after what he has done to our prospects then idk what to say anymore. Guy is literally a coaching terrorist

4. Pretty impressive numbers for coaches involved in this season.

   That cowboys opener ended the season before it even started and to have the coaching staff still with that kind of support is notable.

5. Daboll, while having warts, has demonstrated why he should be back.

   1st, despite soon having the 2nd worst oline in the history of the nfl, we were prior to last Monday, 2 plays away (from 2 separate games) from being in the thick of the playoffs. Came one missed call from potentially upsetting the eagles despite playing 2 different qbs..

   Like keep building talent around this guy. And schoen has already shown he can find talent. So let’s keep doing this thing.

6. If our coordinators go, but Bobby Johnson stays I am off the Daboll train.

   Martindale’s defenses are flashy, but have been a sieve overall. I will defer to the organization there.

   Kafka? Largely a scapegoat. When you play half the year with an UDFA third-string QB, and have an OL that cannot block anyone I am not sure what you want to do schematically, but it will not work.

7. I feel like a clean sweep of 3 coordinators is a pretty bad look for Daboll. McGaughey 100% has to be out of here. As much as I’ve been annoyed with the offense, firing Kafka feels like more of a scapegoat move. Daboll is supposed to be an offensive HC this is his offense still and it’s been awful even with all the injuries.

8. Very confused as to what people want Kafka to do differently. We have had a 3rd string undrafted rookie QB and the worst O-line in the league. Being competitive at all is a sign of good scheme and coaching.

9. Idc, literally just get rid of Bobby Johnson is all I’m asking for. Please man. Straight up, all faith lost in daboll and possibly the season if that guy is able to stay here and ruin the line again.

10. I don’t think Wink is the problem but I believe you can find a younger DC out there that can get just as much, if not more out of this defense without clashing with Daboll.

    The OL and ST coordinators need to be fired into the sun. I don’t know why they weren’t part of this poll.

11. The big question is, who the hell are the 38% and what have they been watching? I’m surprised Kafka got rated so high, maybe it’s because of all the turnovers the defense has recently gotten but our defense for especially the first half of the season was almost as bad as our offense.

12. I mean I’m extremely proud of some of our key players on defence. Thibs, Dex, Banks, Adoree, Simmons, and McFadden all showed me how bad they want it.

    But I dunno if Wink is the guy anymore…I feel like he’s one dimensional. We need a DC that can bring more out of our defence than just blitzing. We need a defence that can adjust, anticipate, and tackle.

13. I don’t care what they do as long as Johnson is the first to go. I think Schoen is fine, we knew this was going to be a rebuild, last year was just a bit flukey. Daboll deserves to stay because the team is still fighting, just look at the talent gap between them and the eagles, they still made it a game. Kafka I could take or leave, I lean towards letting him go, but with some improvements to the roster in the offseason I think he could still be ok (I think he’s gone though). Wink I also could take or leave, but I lean the other way with him, I think he stays. Defense has shown flashes so I think he gets one more year, but consistency and bone-headed plays still plague them. I’d clean house with the offensive position coaches and go from there, but we’ll see what happens

14. I officially don’t care any more. We’ve been bad for so long and have had so many changes that I honestly don’t know what this team needs any more.

    I’ve hit peak apathy. I’ll still put on the game every Sunday but I just don’t care what happens any more right now.

15. We’re criticizing the defense now? They are arguably the reason the team has any wins at all, outside of the Cardinals come back where the offense had a strong pulse for 1 half. It isn’t like the offense is putting up gobs of points and Wink’s defense is shitting the bed.
