  1. Those seven games from RJ to begin the season really had me fooled… we need to retain Quick this upcoming summer, we can not afford to lose him for nothing. He’s arguably our third best player, and I can’t blame his agents for wanting him to get paid more than RJ…

  2. You won’t find a bigger RJ supporter than me but Thibs subbing RJ in for IQ ( who was the best player on the floor tonight) in the 4th made ZERO sense. Even if we still lost if we closed with IQ what was the rationale in bringing RJ back in?

  3. Sadly these losses happen when we are not firing on all cylinders consistently. It is hard to do when you are down a big man, but we need everybody to be consistent going forward if we are going to make some real noise.

  4. Lot of problems tonight obviously, but fought decently hard against a really good team on the road. Thibs subbing RJ in for IQ after he had 22pts in 24min was absolutely maddening and baffling.

  5. I’ve been an RJ supporter. But he’s just not good enough. We badly need to upgrade at the wing.

  6. I wish the New York sports media was more focused on the Knicks, because that Barrett for IQ substitution should have Thibs raked over the coals and shamed on all media outlets.  What a joke. #recklesspenguin

  7. Not going to win when you turn the ball over 18 times and the other team turns it over 4 times.

We need to be more locked in man

  8. Broken record, until RJ is gone and they upgrade that position this team will never be better than 4/5 seed second round out

  9. The thunder are a good team. We competed well with them until they decided to not miss any threes down the stretch.

I have no idea what the fuck Thibs was thinking putting RJ back in the game over IQ

  10. You want DDV who was 5/9 on 3s and IQ who was 4/5 on 3s… Or RJ who was 1/7 on 3s and Hart who was 0/2 on 3s..

There is no fucking reason why RJ should be taking 7 3s. In fact all his good games recently he has only take 1 to 3 3s. It’s even worse when you have him and hart out there and neither can make a jump shot for their life.

  11. How many guys in NBA History have been runner up for 6MOY and have their Minutes per Game go down?

  12. we need to get a legit wing in the lineup. like 6’7 – 6’8, please flip RJ for one at the deadline

  13. watch IQ sign a fat contract to start for another team then drop fiddy on us in his first game back @ MSG

  14. DDV shot out his brains 20 min

IQ shot even better only 24 min

RJ shot like my grandma 30 min

    Sorry something is wrong here.

  15. I try not to be critical and to remain positive.

IQ out, RJ in with like 4 minutes left was an absolutely awful decision.

We were 30 seconds away from IQ skipping down the court in a come back win.

  16. That was a pretty infuriating game for any number of reasons.

Brunson, I adore you, but what the hell were some of those lackadaisical passes!? Very confusing decision making from someone who rarely has that issue.

Love Jules too but his ball watching was driving me crazy tonight and he’s gotta stop taking possessions off d to bitch to the refs.

RJ bruh. Not sure he was decent at anything tonight. He gets more shit than he usually deserves but tonight was just a mess on every level.

The fuck is going on with IQ and our rotation? That RJ sub was crazy given how the game had been playing out.

Also we have very few guys who actually WANT to take a 3 so we constantly pass up looks from there that teams like OKC/Boston/Milwaukee actively hunt. Makes it really hard to keep up with those kinds of teams, especially when we also fail to guard the 3 point line well.

  17. Everyone is making some deep, insightful commentary tonight on IQ, RJ, Thib, etc.

But I need y’all to know that the refs made my ass itch tonight.

Leave bad reffing in 2023 please.

  18. We really need to convince Ainge to take RJ and give us Sexton. We have to do whatever it takes to upgrade the position. These types of performances just can’t happen from a role-player who’s only job is to sink the three from the corner or wing. Even Dejounte can sink catch and shoot threes, if that’s the only role he had. There’s literally nothing easier to do in the NBA.

  19. Jalen Williams is a 2nd year player and already looks way more promising than RJ. And he’s improved his game CONSIDERABLY from his first year. RJ has looked like the exact same player for 5 years now. It’s so frustrating man.

  20. Glad to see we all hated that substitution. I don’t think we win tonight given the way the thunder were playing but it’s hard not to think that we’d have a much better shot leaving RJ on the bench. Bro came in and had immediate negative impact man.

  21. I know every single person watching groaned as soon as they saw RJ coming back in then screamed WHAT when they saw IQ wasn’t on the floor anymore

  22. So, they saw that OKC couldn’t guard Randle in the low post all 3rd quarter. Then, come 4th quarter he only gets 1 early-shot clock possession to make something happen while Brunson and Barrett are out here dominating the ball and doing fuck-all. Makes sense.

  23. Looking at the players taken number 3 overall between 2016 and 2020 and we end up with RJ Barrett is the stuff of nightmares

  24. – The Thunder are a very talented team. They’ve got quite a squad. They’re not an easy team to beat, and we still should’ve beat them.
    – Jalen Williams was red-hot. A career-high 36 points, 13/17 shooting, and he did not miss from 3. There was no answer for him.
    – Holmgren & SGA are two of the league’s best. Really good players.
    – Thibs subbing IQ out late for an ice-cold RJ is one of the decisions ever. Donte or IQ should’ve finished the game with Brunson. Simple as that
    – This loss you take on the chin. Get ready for Orlando on Friday.

  25. It’s now at a point where I’m surprised when RJ hits a 3. His game is essentially driving to the rim so against teams with good rim protection he’s an offensive liability.

18 team turnovers didn’t exactly help matters either.
