  1. I would need to see this. Could be baller in a
‘so lame it’s cool sort of way.’ The Nats pitch is literally “pink trees” and it’s the best city connect of them all.

But I’m also prepared to be sincerely disappointed.

Also. It better not say “Philadelphia” on it. You’ve already taken my shoulder numbers; adding “Philadelphia” to a Phillies uniform would emotionally crater me.

  2. I just knew deep down that Phillie Phanatic theming was wishful thinking and it’d end up being something garish like this.

  3. Can’t believe we’re giving up the red jerseys for a flag that no one gives a shit about

  4. Meh. I find the entire “City Connect” concept to be a blatant merchandising cash grab with zero personal appeal, so the specifics of the design don’t bother me one way or another.

  5. I’ve lived here my whole life; if you put a gun to my head and demanded I tell you a single thing about the PA flag I couldn’t do it.

  6. These jerseys are gonna be awesome. Like the 08 Eagles jerseys that were the same color scheme. I like how we are celebrating our city.

  7. God that’s awful of all the cool designs they could’ve came up with they choose this

  8. This was rumored months ago, didn’t have my hopes up then either. They hate anything remotely cool.

  9. Does anyone have like. A real affection for the city flag? I don’t live in the city so idk but I feel like I rarely see the thing even referenced anywhere

  10. I didn’t expect them to be nice honestly. Most of the city connect jerseys are trash.

  11. Why can’t we just have a red or blue jersey that says Philadelphia with a Liberty Bell on the sleeves. That’s literally the connection with the city. The Philadelphia flag is not iconic at all.

  12. I think they’ll probably fuck up the design because they’ve fucked up most of them, but I don’t think the city flag is a particularly awful choice.

  13. If the city had a cool flag I would get it, but it’s just a dumb crest with 2 ugly colors. Literally indistinguishable from any other of the thousands of crest flags out there. Why pick this?
