ON THIS DAY 15 YEARS AGO: Eagles defeat Cowboys 44-6 to Clinch Wildcard

What a wild ride that day was. So much had to break the eagles way to even have a shot and it did. Then they just completely destroyed Dallas. It was awesome. Really thought this team was going to win it all. Everything just seemed to break right for them until that NFCCG and being unable to stop Fitzgerald and Tim Hightower. Then Kevin Curtis being tackled and the refs decide to swallow their whistles
This is one of those “I rmemeber where I was that day” type of games where you remember that day so perfectly. Another one for me is the miracle at the meadowlands part 2.
Always reminds me of Silver Linings Playbook
My dad remembers being at a bar with his friends they had tickets and thought they were eliminated, once the Raiders won he told his friends “Get in the fucking car” they enjoyed every minute of that game.
And resurrected a few years later in Silver Linings Playbook.
I was at that game with my dad. Was an incredible experience that I’ll never forget.
I was at this game, got the tickets for free because no one else wanted to go. Took my old man, who I also took a few months later to game 4 of the NLCS. My damn kids better treat me as good as I treated him.
Woke up late that day (I’m on the West Coast) when the score was already 17-3 just in time to see Sheldon pick off Romo. Oh, what a day!
I’m gonna watch that game in full right now
Bradley Cooper also finished with a mediocre score in a dance competition!
This is why we expect the Eagles to show up against Dallas every year. This game spoiled us.
I went to OG Chickies to watch some of the 1pm games then went to the game. We saw the final score of the game that gave us wildcard chances in the stadium. I think the last score we we waiting on was Raiders v Tampa and when that went final, the crowd erupted and then we proceeded to kick some Cowboy ass. It’s was a beautiful day in more ways than one.
Dawkins last game as an Eagle in Philly…. had 2 forced fumbles too iirc…
Top 3 all time game for me. Only topped by the 2017 nfc title game and Super Bowl.
2008 is still one of my favorite yet heartbreaking seasons.
the season seemed over after the Baltimore loss(McNabb benched), then a nice run where it looked like they’d make it – until choking against the skins. such a bitter xmas for me, only to be completely redeemed on that miracle sunday.
That’s what’s 15 years AGO!!!!!!!
I was at the game and remember going wild in the parking lot with thousands of people at the tailgate and on the way inside because everything that needed to happen did, destroying the cowboys was fun and that place was rockin. I’ve become a quiet Raiders fan after that day. Not against the birds but when their opponent is random, primarily bc they pulled that game out to give us a chance

The 2023 Eagles will blow out a team like this.
Just wait…
I was there with my father. Amazing night.
