Just had a crazy thought

The 2023 season for the Lions has felt like a script straight out of Hollywood so far and it can get even crazier.

Assuming the Lions finish with the two or three seed these could be the matchups assuming the lions actually pull off a Super Bowl run:

Wild Card Rams @ Lions

Pretty obvious one, everyone is thinking about it. The whole story behind Goff vs Stafford, both team’s benefitted from the trade but does Goff prove his old team wrong or does Stafford finally win a playoff game in Detroit?

Divisional: Lions @ Eagles OR Eagles @ Lions

I emphasize the “or” because this game could be at home or away. Imagine if it was in ford field, you’d have a Matt Patricia led defense coming into town. The same guy who drove this franchise into the ground. I’m sure the feeling is mutual and he would be chomping at the bit to have his “revenge” tour but with how recent his departure was this game would be intense, and pure entertainment.

NFC Championship: Lions at 49ers

The game that started it all. The first team the Lions played in the MCDC / Goff era. That game in 2021 ended with a late turnover on the last drive, Goff couldn’t get the job done then, but can he now?

Super Bowl Lions vs Browns

Now this is definitely a long shot and more than likely not going to happen but how incredibly remarkable would it be? This is the first season in over 60 years that both the lions and browns have had 10+ wins, that season was 1954 and the lions beat the browns in the NFL Championship game.

Their DC? Good old Jim Schwartz, another failed Lions HC whose now calling plays for a hot team with an incredible defense.

If anything close to that happens, they need to make this into a movie!

  1. Just let me see 1 playoff win and i’ll be happy, anything after that is icing on the cake

  2. Last time both lions and browns had 10+ wins in a season was 1953. That year the lions beat the browns in the championship 17-16👀

  3. Hear me out.
    Wild card same.
Divisional round Seahawks to cleanse those demons. Championship same.
Super Bowl Ravens to avenge the loss earlier in the year. And the 66 yd last second fg bs

  4. I mean id also be ok with facing KC in the super bowl as a open and close to the season beating them. I think would be the first time that happened in nfl history. But browns is a close second. I really dont want ravens. Lamar is everything we aren’t ready for. Maybe next years super bowl after we draft and add to the defense. But obviously one play off win is the main goal. Anything after will be sweet sweet victory.
