Darvish sat there and really thought that these international super stars would line up and want to play for that small market dumpster fire lol
Darvish definitely hates us. I don’t blame him for the way certain fans treated him and his family after 2017, especially after finding out that it wasn’t really his fault. I do feel bad that he got sold a bill of goods by Preller though. That guy is a fucking clown show of a gm.
I feel bad for yu, In a sense
i feel bad, love darvish and itβs a shame the padres let him down – took a bet on a bad team and franchise though, and thatβs a miss on either him, his team, agent, or all of the above unfortunately.
Iβm never gonna say anything bad about Darvish after how dirty the Astros did him, but man, is this ever an object lesson in how important it is to at least have an agent who understands the business side of things. The Padres were never gonna commit a billion dollars to two guys, especially after a couple years of disastrous deals.
Love the guy, but dude. Understand who youβre signing with instead of just trusting the word of the guy whose job it is to sell you on the deal.
Itβs not me. Itβs Yu.
They probably were until their owner died of cancer. So like I canβt blame Yu for assuming theyβd do something. From what Iβve seen he was at least kind of close with Seidler
aside from the wild contracts they gave out, having your owner take out giant 877-CASH-NOW loans isn’t a good sign.
This is how I feel about Yu Darvish, in order of importance.
1. Fuck Yuli Gurriel, racist piece of shit. 2. Fuck any Dodger fans who said anything vile to Yu or his family after game 7. 3. Yu Darvish was probably tipping pitches and had no business starting game 7.
Hey Yu, you could have stayed with us, huh???
Hope Yu is doing okay. I’ll always support him as a player.
Yu speaks in third person?
The Padres had to take out a loan to make payroll. They had to trade Soto to lower overhead. That’s what happens when a big portion of your fanbase is fair weather bandwagon fans.
I have nothing against Darvish, but respectfully he and Buster Posey can get together and cry about it.
Iβm just finding out the padres owner died. Does this mean that he was spending big to try and win one before he passed? If so that is kind of sad it didnβt work, but it would also explain so much of the franchises erratic behavior.
He’ll always have 2022. So whatever.
They can’t afford it. Why the fuck would they?
Why would they go to this dumpster fire of an organization with terrible contracts and clubhouse issues? Lmao bum
Not sure you could have not seen this coming tho yu. Padres were too 5 payroll in the game which resulted in the owner taking a loan to get payroll during the season. your owner also just died after the season. So Iβm not sure how darvish expects the team to have been able to add $1.1 billion in contracts
He doesn’t understand economics. Obviously.
Iβll be honest, I think the Padres owner spent all his money on the team because he knew he was going to peace out early. But after his passing (and obvious clusterfuck of a result missing the playoffs), Shohei and Yoshi knew better than to join a new ownership on a bunch of question marks.
I liked Darvish wish he was on the team. 2017 wasn’t his fault…. entirely. I’ve always liked him sad he hates us. π… oh well go blue
