  1. This is what mainstream sports media does. They need controversy for likes and views.

Imagine if they said “yeah, Russ sucks. Smart move” and then just moved on.

  2. The switch up on this from a PR perspective is so annoying lol. It was THE sports meme of the last 2 years to constantly dunk on Russ.

I can’t count how many times ESPN posted that pic of Melvin Gordon looking at Russ on the sidelines with some corny caption but now they all want to switch up on it and sympathize. So lame.

  3. They’re not complain about Russ being benched. They’re complaining about how SP is and has treated Russ, which had beem unfairly.

  4. whats amazing to me is when people are surprised when talk shows about football (and the market is over saturated with them) have obnoxious or inflammatory takes. They NEED views and what brings those views?

  5. Weren’t all these guys not only ripping on Russ’s play, but also making fun of him for being corny? All of them, especially Ryan Clark, can shut the fuck up with their baptist sermons now.

  6. We need a Broncos fan to make a supercut of all these bullshit hot take artist hypocrites saying bad shit about Russ. He was their punching bag then all the sudden Sean Payton is the bad guy for benching him, which they’ve been calling for since last season. Russ has been a laughingstock all over the media and message boards since he got here and we tried to support him.

  7. If this bother you at all than you care more about their take than they do.

If you’ve watched every Broncos game this year you’ve watched (a lot) more Russ than they have.

    Let it go.

  8. THANK YOU!! Ryan Clark also shit on Russ last year…every… chance… he got. Now this dude is trying to point the finger at Sean.

Ryan Clark hates the Broncos and will slander them on any and every decision.

  9. I mean, last year vs this years performance is a hell of a lot different. I am all on board with moving on and ripping the bandaid . But it hasn’t been horrific. Just not anywhere near what we are paying him

  10. I’m surfing this sub and love football but this drama is a bit strange. The narrative has turned. Denver is being vilified as a team that does not keep its promise when signing a player.
Could it be because 5 out of the last 6 games Russel had decent numbers? Doesn’t it take a qb a year to fully know a new offense?
Regardless of what happens I gotta admit RW is classy because he’s not bitchin and screaming. I love underdogs and the way RS turned it around this season was entertaining. Nevertheless, the media flipped.

  11. That’s what mainstream media does in general. No just sports. There’s just no accountability and ppls memory and attention span dissipates a lot faster.

  12. ESPN Bighead: “I think they should do XYZ”

    Breaking News, team does XYZ!!

Bighead: “Listen, I know I said that, but this move may come back to bite them.”

I don’t watch ESPN anymore, is that how it went down?
