Apparently we could’ve got something for jacoby


I remember folks talking about trading jacoby earlier in the year and the debate was you don’t trade a solid backup…

  1. I think Jacoby was more important for his veteran presence in the QB room for Howell than a late 6th round pick would be.

    But this is a dump on Ron thread and I know enough to not try to fight against that tide. Heck no I won’t do it.

  2. Yet he let go 2 starters who carried our defense but our back up qb on a 1 year contract is off the table

  3. This came out at the trade deadline and it was widely believed that AT BEST it was for a 6th rounder.

    Considering Josh Dobbs went for a swap (Vikings gave up a 6th and got a 7th back) I doubt that any team even offered a 6th.

  4. It depends on the compensation.

    If it was for a 6th then no, that wouldn’t be worth it. Veteran presence in locker room is key.
