  1. I sure hope he is. You could trade that pick twice and still get Odunze or Nabers. I hope for a OT also

  2. People laugh but he’s going to keep doing this until he has the top 53 picks in the 2033 draft and just reset the entire roster all at once.

  3. Nah this is a one time thing. If the Panthers had taken Stroud instead of Young we wouldn’t have the #1 overall. Also at some point we need to actually get a QB who can actually throw for 4k yards (or even 3k) in the NFL

  4. The fan boy in me says take Harrison Jr 1,1 or a small trade back to 1,2 or 1,3, but how awesome would it be to do a massive trade back and just have a pipeline of 1st round picks on the roster for years to come

  5. It’s hilarious but they literally have that opportunity. New England trades a 2025 first, they’re still sapped if talent and they end up with a Top 5 pick.

Bears in 2025 could take the next “generational QB” or trade down again if Fields proves he’s the guy with a 2nd NFL caliber WR on the roster.

Because as it stands the team has Moore and 5 guys who won’t be in the NFL by 2025, Mooney included in that.

  6. Two number ones for Wilbur Marshall. Look how that turned out (Brad Muster, Wendell Davis)

  7. I think this is a solid ass blueprint. He can parlay an awful 2022 into a half a decade of elite draft capital and a DJ. It also will allow Justin the grace to develop as a QB with young talent and realistic expectations. I know it’s crazy but that fuckin position is hard and you can’t teach or develop the leader he already is. I’d rather have a few years of shit followed by 5-8 years of dominance than annual “playoff bubble” purgatory. I think that’s what Poles has in mind. This last month has been fun to watch. Whether they keep the kid or let him go, I’m a Justin Fields fan. I believe in him.

  8. I could have just told him it was R2, R2, L1, L1, LEFT, DOWN, RIGHT, UP, LEFT, DOWN, RIGHT, UP

  9. Works for me in every gm game I’ve ever played and I’ve played a lot. So yeah do that strategy

  10. The most valuable picks in the draft are 11-20. This is because historically they give elite production and are on a relatively team friendly contract compared to the 1-10 range. The savvy GM will trade out of the top 10 and stack as many mid to late first rounders as possible. This of course only works if the GM is focused on building for long term results. Poles clearly was given the green light to do that last year.

Most GMs are afraid for their job so they make win now moves that mortgage their future. Works in the short term but a few years later your team is meh. See the Rams after they won the superbowl as an example.

I love what Poles is doing so far. LFG

  11. I would love to trade with the raiders to get a haul. Maybe Davante Adams and a couple 1sts and 2nds. The Raiders are sitting with the 11th pick so they’d need to give us quite a bit to move to #1. Max Crosby would be best, but he’s probably untouchable.

The Raiders 2025 pick won’t net us the #1 again, but pairing Moore with a still highly effective Davante Adams would be amazing.
