For no real reason – the season that lives in my brain rent free. 2008 when we entered the last 4 weeks with a record of 9-3. If we won ANY of the last 4 games we would’ve made the playoffs. We finished 9-7. That year the 6th (last place to make the playoffs) seed were the 9-6-1 Philly Eagles

  1. Cadillac’s knee blowing out again and Kiffin announcing he was leaving for Tennessee

  2. Is that chargers game the one they made the Sunday ticket/directv commercial out of the following year? The damn “then Phillip rivers went all Phillip rivers!”??

  3. I was at the Monday night game where the panthers obliterated us…. I agree that 4 game stretch to end the season is one I think about often… probably because of the terrible experience I had lol

  4. Got Gruden and the GM fired…rightfully so.

And here we are dying for a win in the last week to get to 9-8.

Baker is going to ball out.

  5. I was at that raiders game.

It was an absolute disaster, AND as soon as Kiffin said he was leaving, the D gave up.

  6. I was at the Panthers game on MNF. DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart absolutely went *off* rushing the ball, and when the game ended, I can remember thinking that this was the beginning of the end of the Gruden era. It was depressing.

  7. The Raiders game was my first live game as a 9-year-old.

My favourite player was Cadillac. Suffice to say, it wasn’t a fun afternoon.

Since then I’ve been to 34 Bucs games, despite living in Canada and I’ve only seen a pathetic 10 live wins.

Yes, 10-24. Started w/ that Raiders game.

  8. this also was the start of our playoff drought that lasted until Brady’s first season here. fucking pain

  9. This one kills me too. Carolina ran all over us that game. Thats one thing I will say about these past 5 years is thank god we have a run defense.

  10. >lives in my brain rent free

Ever since then, any time I see a 9-3 record in literally any sport, I think of that season

  11. The Raiders loss was one of the worst in franchise history. Not just losing to a shitty team with an all time bust at QB with playoffs on the line, but Cadillac’s injury was brutal. I remember hearing him scream on the broadcast.
