[NFL on CBS] “I’m gonna remember this for the rest of my life.” – Justin Fields talking to @Amanda_Balionis about hearing WE WANT FIELDS chants raining down from @ChicagoBears fans

THAT’S MY QUARTERBACK

  1. If the Bears pass on Caleb and this thing doesn’t take off the ground, I don’t want to hear any excuses from anyone in Bears nation. None of that we didn’t know Caleb would be this good, or we couldn’t anticipate Fields couldn’t take a next step with MHJ. Because right now we are using feelings and emotions to judge a QB situation and not facts and logic. I hope Poles doesn’t do the same and evaluates this QB class thoroughly. I can name at least 16 QB’s I’d take over Fields now and for the future. I can’t do the same for Stroud.

  2. That has to be an awesome feeling. If he lights it up again next week and we beat that team up north screw it I’m in

  3. You can be an athlete and go your entire career and never hear your name being chanted by the crowd. This was a special moment for Justin and the fans that were there. No, it wasn’t winning the Superbowl but that dude just won the hearts and minds of all the fans that were there and that should count for something. Derrick Rose is the last person I can think of and maybe to some degree Kris Bryant. Being an athlete in the 2nd or 3rd largest sporting market cannot be easy and this dude does it with grace. I’ll be a Justin Fields fan probably for the rest of my life regardless of if he stays in Chicago or not.

  4. If this man does get traded, I have to say I truly hope he goes to a place that has a fanbase and media that actually take the time to understand the game they report and talk about and recognize growth instead of clinging on to every take from a talking head they see because they’re so scared of staying in the limbo we’ve been in for 50 years. Soldier FIELD chanting his name, players love him, opponents fear and respect him…give me another Bears QB who has had this aura in the city’s history? McMahon? And that was for different reasons entirely. Justin in a 3 win season gave us reason to be excited for this one, we’ve more than doubled our wins and are in a position to put a team around him where he can win consistently and NOW is when he’s being the most dissected as he’s playing the best football of his career. Can’t say I’ll be a “die-hard” Bears fan anymore if we mess this up somehow, because we are truly knocking on the door of relevancy with a special talent and all we need to do is bring more people to the party instead of kicking the host out the door. Not saying I’m absolutely right here…but the vibes are clearly indicating what the move is to the FO (as well as Cardinals beating the eagles and moving back in the draft order)

  5. I’m gonna be honest with you, I’ve been on team Draft Caleb for the most part of the season, but i think I’m deserting from that team.

  6. I wish I hadn’t missed most of the game. I was travelling and got back around the beginning of the 4th quarter.

  7. I’m still all in on Caleb. Don’t wanna hear about how he struggled against good teams. Tebow balled out against good teams and even won the natty. That’s irrelevant when judging a college QB. But if Fields can ball out AND beat the packers I’ll be all in on him again. Bears are in a good place with a tough decision to make. Poles is gonna make one side happy and one side mad. Just please whatever the right choice is, make it.

  8. People just need to realize this falcons defense was the exact type of defense fields is good against. Zero pressure and man coverage. The question is, if fields doesn’t look good against Green Bay’s zone/pressure scheme, will people change their minds? Unfortunately I think some people are just too emotional and aren’t looking at things objectively.

  9. If we win those 3-4 game where we blew double digit leads we are a 6 or 7 seed. It’s going to be a long offseason.

  10. As if Bears upper management and front office cares what fans think/want… too busy working on how to get the team back to losing next season.

  11. Call me when he beats the packers for the first time in his career. It will also be our first win against them since 2018.

I’ll jump on the trade the pick bandwagon then, and then only.
