  1. Yeah it seems like Steph gets matched up with wings or bigs in the post lot of times, and when the team try to adjust, they just double and give up easier shots.
    This shouldn’t happen.

  2. They are not imperfect they are deeply flawed. Today like never before defense is a team effort. Screens are going everywhere switches happen nonstop. These are not defensive isolation stats where these guys went at each other one vs one. In addition no statistician in their right mind would take a 5 of 6 possession sample of a matchup and draw conclusions. 2/5 is 40% – great defender. 3/5 – 60% bad defender. This stat is also flawed because it punishes the last person to pick up the defensive assignment before they score/miss. It’s not always a fair assignment.

Kuminga is a great example. Sometimes he loses his man because of focus. But other times he is covering for a player blowing by another defender, is late for the rotation and said player scores. For that he was their primary defender. But had the real primary defender defended their assignment he wouldn’t have had to cover up and scramble off his assignment to help

  3. be careful OP. this sub thinks kuminga is the best defender ever. kawhi esk and that klay sucks

    watch your agenda /s
