Hello Everyone! I don’t really post here but I have information regarding our City Connects for 2024.
(I understand if there is any doubt in what i say as I do not have visual proof to show anyone but please read what I have to say)
So a friend and I deal in Product Management for many LA Teams in which we help deal products out to stores like Lids and Pro Image. Around the Summer we had almost completely stopped receiving City Connects from both Nike and Fanatics for the Dodgers. (If you step into your Local Lids you will notice that City Connects are either all gone or on a substantial discount)
Fast Forward to Mid-November and here’s the story
-Nike will be releasing 10 CC’s however they don’t belong to the Final 10 teams without one
-The New York Yankees refused to adopt the City Connect Program, pretty much not submitting designs or accepting designs that Nike had presented
-Dodgers stepped up with a new design that they had already held on to (City Connects 2.0 releases in 2025 for the 2021 debutees)
-City Connect 1.0 was a byproduct of Nike needing a Big Franchise aside from Boston to boost very dwindling sales following the 2020 pandemic. This resulted in Nike choosing the Dodgers as they were the most willing to approve a design from what they had.
-Mediocre reactions from both Players and Fans sparked a more serious approach for LA with Next season’s uniform
-The Jersey will still be BLUE as both Players and Organization want a Blue Uniform in their rotation.
-Nike will be submitting their product designs to retailers later this month for MLB so I’ll be on the lookout for you guys!

I’m believing you bc I was so disappointed by the initial release.
Blue jersey without dipping the sleeves in black paint and letting it drip with white pants, it is not this difficult.
Are they or are you suggesting they should? I really hope there are new ones. The current ones are so lame and uninspired.
I don’t mind the Los Dodgers jersey if they got rid of the black on the sleeves and maybe used a blue and white hat.
The Los Angeles script would look great on the CC.
They need a Los Doyers jersey… or bring back the Los Angeles jersey
Probably explains why I saw an authentic City Connect jersey in the discount rack at a Dodger Clubhouse store a couple of weeks ago.
i was disappointed with the original where it was all blue but i liked the changes when they used white pants instead and i feel like there is something different about them but idk i liked them better

Idk what else the rest of the uniform would be. Just give me that jersey lol
I believe you that they’ll be different I just don’t trust Nike to make them better — their quantity over quality approach has led to some disaster designs especially in the NBA recently.
I still think we should only wear our white unis at home. I’d like a blue away alternate that looks like our spring training uni, but I doubt that will ever happen.
Good for the Yankees for refusing to cooperate. I hate the city connect concept in the first place. The amount of different ridiculously colored jerseys in the NBA, for example, is insane and I hope MLB never gets to that point.

It would be sick to bring back Los Angeles old school. Bring back the Nomo era design please.
That powder blue around the stadium would be pretty cool…maybe incorporate the Dodgers stadium sunset somehow too
I’m in the minority for sure, but I hate that they removed the blue pants for the City Connects. It looked unique imo.
Hell yes let’s go. The chocolate sleeves were weird and just have Los Dodgers felt super lame. So much more to connect with the city

Nike jerseys are so trash, I miss Majestic
A blue “Los Angeles” jersey is what we need.
They already took it off the grays.
Tbh I miss the all blue CC’s and think the blue jersey/white pants combo they did last season was worse than all blue. At least getting new CC’s also means we’ll be stepping away from Urias since he was the one that wore them the most.
After all the hype and end to the season I honestly really don’t care for them too much, my only Mookie jersey is a CC and I’d rather wear any other home jersey. Compared to others ours felt very minimal effort. Like just slap Los dodgers on it and call it a day.
