  1. I get the argument of not wanting to lose momentum. But we were all still rooting for the 1 seed a few weeks ago which would have guaranteed rest. If any team could benefit from a week off it’s us.

  2. Our bye was in W5, so these guys havent had a break in a long time. We are already absurdly banged up as it is.

So it makes sense to treat this like a preseason game where some starters will get action in the first half, and the 2nd half will be all backups

  3. PJ Walker just happy to cash a active roster check. PJ Walked has thrown 1 touchdown to 5 picks and also fumbled 4 times this year lol

  4. This isn’t madden. One meaningless loss isn’t going to stop momentum. Especially if we’re not even starting Flacco. Our team needs a break due to the complete bullshit that a week 5 bye is.

  5. It feels really nice to have a meaningless game week 18 for good reasons. It will be fun to watch what some backups can do and I can focus on rooting against the Steelers!

  6. This honestly make me more excited to watch the game. I want wins with 5 different starting QB’s!

  7. Not going to over-sensationalize it, but Driskel is very athletically gifted and has played TE in the NFL before. Maybe this game would give an window into our roster next year and have some sort of Taysom Hill type role for him.

  8. I think it makes sense. We know what we have in PJ and he knows the offense already. In case of the worst case scenario and both QBs go down in the playoffs it would be good for Driskel to familiarize himself with the offense in a game situation.

  9. The stress free game the Bengals were planning on, is now more stressful. They don’t want to get beat by Driskel, to go 0-6 in the division this year

  10. wonder what jersey number he’ll be rocking. after seeing our temp K and P last week in the 30s, it felt like there weren’t many left

  11. I wonder how much or little Flacco cares about his $75K bonus for playing in this game. As much as he’s made in his career, he’s probably like, nah, I’m good. 75k is a fair chunk of change, though.

  12. Anyone who thinks we should play starters for “momentum” is crazy.

There’s a risk – reward decision Kevski had to make here.

If Flacco, Bitonio, Cooper, or Njoku were to have a serious injury next week our post season is basically over before it begins. We have no depth leftover on offense.

  13. Scenes when Driskel balls out and now we have a QB controversy heading into the playoffs

  14. The only reason I would even consider not resting our starters this game is if we had a recent bye week and we also have completely lost our groove. We have the squad where we want them, the ideal choice it to let them rest up.

  15. Expected Joe to rest. Did not expect Driskel to get the start. I thought we were in for another PJ Walker experience.

  16. Given that Flacco will move on after this season it makes sense to see if driskel can be a good backup for Watson.

  17. Stefanski about to be the first coach to win a game with 5 different QBs in a single season
