  1. I agree with Acho on the first clip in the sense that it looks like Hurts had a running lane there and didn’t take it. I hate his second point, being that because we have converted a 3rd and 19 screen before that makes a 3rd and 20 screen call a good choice. That is just poor logic.

  2. What network is he on now? Noticed his brother was broadcasting the Texas game and not him

  3. Why is he only showing the offense? We lost because the defense can’t cover a pillow if they were laying on it

  4. It’s not *just* that the play calling is bad, it’s that it’s bad 10 times in a row in the exact same way. Its like we’re running 15 plays out there in a whole game. Our playbook last year was not “exciting” per se, but we had a lot of different looks, we had runs to the outside, we had motion. Now we have screens. Screens are great, we see players rip off big plays, fine, I get it, call screens. But also call slants and crossing routes, run the ball from under center, do literally anything other than rpo’s from shotgun every time. And for the love of god why the fuck are there no hot routes in any of these designs?

You can’t put guys out on the field and tell them to execute and then say it’s on them for failing when the defense knows *exactly* what’s coming. That’s on coaches

  5. I’m confused by his analysis of the first play. Who was assigned to block the blitzer that blew up the play? Was Jalen supposed to make a move to shake him?

  6. The plays may be fine, but they have no situational awareness with the play calling and thats the issue

  7. Of course he’s gonna say that wtf else is he going to say. And if he genuinely believes its nothing to do with play calling then we truly are cooked

  8. Hurts failed to hit the running lane. Not sure why we drafted, then extended, for a running back. Have we thought moving Hurts to QB?

  9. Acho is a clown and I’m embarrassed there are fans on this sub that take him seriously

  10. 1st and 20 followed by 2 designed QB runs and a bubble screen on 3rd and 16 is bad play calling. Good execution wouldn’t change that.

  11. This whole thing feels like the eagles pr team trying to spin this into good pr for the coaches. We all know acho is close with the eagles org and a clout goblin. Wouldnt shock me if they called him and gave him the talking points they wanted out there.

Idc man this whole thing feels like damage control. Its like they think we r dumb af and cant see there is something wrong other than players simply not playing well. Its been weeks of them doing the same thing and expecting different results which is the real issue

  12. Uuuuhh I don’t think this gives the coaches a copout

If every play you run was done perfectly then you would score on every possession. The fact of the matter is, the defense had a better game plan than what the offense offense was called to do.

  13. I mean it’s still on the coaches that they are calling the same exact plays from a month ago and acting like no DC has scouted their offense since and they should still just work the same. There’s no evolution in this offense outside of small tweaks to the tush push, and that’s 100% on coaching.

Good defenses focus on ways to take away what you’re good at. If you don’t find something else to succeed with, you fail, over and over. That’s the cycle it feels like we’re in right now.

  14. Sorry but I watched them call two qb draws and a screen with 20 yards to gain you aren’t convincing me the play calling is “fine”

  15. This is ignoring the fact that we ran the same play on 1st down. The other team are professional football players too…

Also, if we run screens on 3rd and long, wouldn’t the defense be looking for that on 3rd and 20…

I don’t think executing those plays was the issue. It was the vanilla a$$ play calls in a high leverage situation…run the Philly Philly 😂

  16. It’s football. Of course if you don’t have to worry about 11 players, then it should be a TD! But guess what, u have to account for 11 defenders……..

  17. He just glossed over the fact Baker read the play. He blitz the A gap after Dickerson cleared. All pro safety’s can read predictable QB run plays that they see all the time.

  18. I’ll get to the bottom of this and make it simple. If the players are messing up, it’s still also very much the coaching staffs fault.

  19. Bro, you’re suggesting that a 3rd and 19 screen play should work MULTIPLE times? Acho is an idiot.

  20. It’s not even like every play run to perfection is fine, there’s also situation and the other side. If your playbook is tiny then the defense can be right more often than not on guessing, or even have ways to cover multiple plays at once. Situation is knowing that your defense is butter and we essentially need all four downs to get a TD, so playing for the FG is the same as waving the white flag.

  21. That QB draw was still bad. Defense showed blitz, 5 men at line and both LBs rushing QB. Thats not the time to run the same QB draw again. Maybe that’s on hurts for not recognizing? Idk, but either way, a bad call.
