[Replay] Smart Allows the Drive in a Failed Attempt to Elbow Scottie Barnes

Wanted a slowed down version to see how malicious this play by Smart was.

Not only was there obvious intent to elbow Barnes, he allowed the offense to get into the paint rather than stopping the ball. What a scrub.

  1. Smart would have flopped if the roles were reversed. Plays the game with zero integrity

  2. Ehhh, not really a dirty play – it looks like he thought Barnes was going to set a screen or cut and he was gonna try and bump him off it.

It looks weird cause Scottie makes the action like he’s doing one and then cuts back outside, and Smarts eyes are on the ball so he braces and then reaches for contact he’s expecting that never comes.

  3. There was one possession where he just threw himself on the floor trying to draw a foul. The refs didn’t fall for it & the game just kept on going. Really, he should’ve got a tech for flopping. Can’t stand him, dirty player always doing too much. Zero integrity

  4. This guy winning DPOY is proof the idiot writers that vote on awards have 0 idea what the fuck they’re doing

  5. It’s funny how Smart essentially replaced Brooks in Memphis, but at least that dude owns his villainy while Smart is celebrated as this cerebral defensively minded dude when in fact he’s just a trash player who plays dirty and pretends to be the victim.
