But first, Gardner plays in the AFC, so comparing him to Adebo is nonsense.
Second, an Elite CB will not get much tackles, INTs and PDs simply because QBs won’t throw his way. So those stats are kind of useless here.
Third, PFF has Gardner rated as 3rd best CB this year. Take their “grading system” as you wish, but it’s probably still better than comparing those stats.
That being said, I’m very happy with how Adebo and Taylor stepped up this year, even more after Lattimore went down again.

I gave up on seasonal awards once I saw that Aaron Rodgers has 4 MVPs despite being the greatest underachiever in modern football while Drew Brees has none.
I just disagree here a little. I love Adebo, but using these numbers to measure a CB isn’t how anybody professional assesses talent at that position. If a DB has a WR locked down, he might not get a tackle all game or forced fumble or INT all game. His guy was so covered the QB didn’t even try to throw it to him all game.
Pro Bowl is a joke. Just like all the “all star” contests
Cornerback stats don’t matter. Other than catch rate
More solo tackles from a CB typically means more receptions from the opposing receiver. More receptions typically mean more attempts. More attempts means QB has the opening they were looking for.
