  1. Got our asses kicked. Ups and downs of an 82 game season. All about how we respond. Last time we lost by this much we answered with a 9-3 run. Took one on the chin tonight.

  2. The team has a problem with going iso-reliant when we get frustrated. Should really fix that, seeing as when the ball moves, our offense looks deadly. Hoping Zion’s injury isn’t anything major. On to the next.

  3. Willie got out coached again. They blitzed BI and Willie has no answer for it. Seems like Willie’s adjustments is just telling the big 3 to play harder.

  4. Coach Lue game planned because he knew we would not defer from the defensive allstar line ups so double BI all game and it work. At the NBA level its impossible to stop players from scoring completely because they are so talented. You need to score too

  5. Applaud Hawk tryna get more playing time

Hope Z’s injury is as minor as it sounds

They shot incredibly well and have multiple HoF guys on their squad. But yet again I feel like our gameplan was completely inferior to the opponent.

  6. You had an opportunity to defeat some of the hottest teams in the league and gain some attention around the league with a statement win today

and then you lose by 30 at home.

This was a test to prove if we’re contenders or not, and the results were very telling. The next 5 games are road games against good teams and 2-3 wins is a must

  7. Probably a preview of the playoffs, honestly. Willie got so thoroughly outcoached that it didn’t matter what unit he ran in the 2nd half. They were just so far ahead and had all the momentum.

  8. The exact opposite of the Twolves game.

Bad night all around. I can’t help but thinking WG’s coaching is gonna haunt us later though. Although so much of tonight had nothing to do with him.

However, Just like I wouldn’t over celebrate with the TWolves win, I wouldn’t have my hair on fire after this game. Nights like this do happen in an 82 game season. OKC just lost to the Same Nets that we beat by 37.

  9. Clippers made all their 3s, games like this happen. However Pels need to do better offensively. Ty Lue said he wouldn’t let BI beat him, Willie should have adjusted and get him easier looks, etc.

Now lets hope Zion is okay because not having him during the toughest month will be rough

  10. Got stuck working late and couldn’t get home till 7:30. Couldn’t get my tortellini today so the loss was expected…

  11. I’m as big of a Willie hater as anyone here, but I honestly don’t think tonight was on him as much as it was just one of those nights. Sure, when EVERYONE is having an off shooting night maybe play Hawk, but ultimately having a rookie shooting OKAY isn’t going to be e Pugh to offset everyone else missing their wide open looks at the rim, let alone their jumpers. Trey didn’t play much but he’s coming back from injury so I probably wouldn’t have loaded him with minutes tonight either, and Larry was playing fine but you’re never going to play through your backup center offensively, it’s just not gonna happen. And everyone else had probably their worst offensive game of the season. Tip your cap to the team who outplayed you tonight, and get ready for the next one. (Also, fire Willie, but not for tonight but rather for the entire season of unmitigated fuck ups)

  12. Hawk going off for 13 points in 7 minutes after we were all crying for scorers the entire game thread is the kind of natural universal comedy that keeps me going in this world

  13. The more these games happen the more and more I hope willie green leaves, he can’t adjust mid game and by the time he does it’s too late, literally everyone in the building knew that the clippers were gonna stop BI with everything, except willie, it took him till the third to get Bi off ball, even AD mentioned it. And when you see that they’re helping off of dys, Herb, naji and Jose, the answer isn’t to have a different scheme it’s to play the guy off the bench who has an absolute sniper for a talent who funnily enough moves off ball.

Also I don’t know who is coaching our role players but when someone is doubled, especially in this case BI, it’s common for a guy to come get the ball, not in willie case everyone just stands around and watches while Bi struggles and then when either Z or Bi struggle there’s no movement everyone just keeps staring. No inclining to run pick and rolls between Bi and Z, poor timeout management.

I’m so done with willie, and I know we all love dyson but his offence is just hurting us at this point, I don’t think anyone paid any attention to him on offence, and we have a guy who makes 3s on the bench, we need a trade to add more scoring off the bench. Because teams are gonna continue to do this until we can punish them with a good scheme and shooters, not Bi and Z with four defenders. We were 6th on defence this season but 15th on offence, does that not seem off willie?

Also I know it was one of those nights were nothing was going down, but a lot of the problems could have been alleviated if we had a good head coach

  14. This was a tough one to watch

The game got away in the second. There was no adjustments, nothing

  15. I can’t recall watching one game this season where they blitzed the shit out of one guy all game like that. That shit reminded me of how the Cavs were defending Curry in the finals. Like damn BI can’t touch the ball, clippers?

  16. Hawk could have been that spark we needed to make a run in the 2nd. Willie needs to let that kid play when Jose and Naji aren’t giving you much. Overall, I’m not too upset with this loss, It just wasn’t our night. I hope Z is okay though. Nothing worse than losing by 20+ and seeing your star player is hurt.

  17. Willie just can’t adjust. Even our hot streak recently came with just really good initial game plans and beating them from the jump. More and more times we see him fail to correct the ship in anyway. Also hope Z is ok and give me Hawk minutes dangit.

  18. Said I would be happy with a split of the last two games, so I guess I shouldn’t be greedy.

Just sucks when a close game gets turned into a blowout because we score two points in five minutes with a lineup that has Daniels, Jose and Herb on the court at the same time.

  19. Feel like a lot of people are forgetting that…this was the Pels 5th game in 8 days. We went 4-1 during that stretch. There should be no complaints.

This team looked tired tonight…which was to be expected. They’re coming off the biggest win of the season…they’re exhausted from this stretch.

Shots weren’t falling tonight that usually fall. Guys had tired legs. This happens in an 82 game season.

Pels are going to be fine. Zion injury is minor…and was probably held out because the game was a blowout
