  1. Losing and playing our young guys is way more fun to watch than losing and playing our vets

  2. Someday when we’re actually good again we’ll remember these as the dark days.

Fourth quarter was at least fun getting to see all the young guys get some run.

  3. Here are my takeaways from today’s game:

    Positives:

    * Sharpe looks healthy
    * Reath looked pretty good offensively
    * Scoot continues to make jump shots
    * Kris Murray looked pretty good. I like how he stays solid and disciplined defensively, and is usually in the right place at the right time to take charges, close out, and contest. And he actually looks pretty quick laterally sliding his feet defensively. I don’t know if we have minutes in the rotation for him right now, but I like what I see in garbage time. And, even though the percentages are a bit ugly, I’m pretty confident he will be a pretty good shooter in the league someday.
    * Really can’t think of any more positives today

    Negatives:

    * This is the fourth game in a month that we have watched Dallas blitz Ant in the high PnR for an entire game while letting Camara brick wide open threes on the weak side, with no adjustments. I understand that if guys like Badji are screening, there is really nothing that Chauncey can do to adjust. But when we have Reath in the game, I think it might be worth a shot to experiment with Camara as a roll man and Reath as a floor spacer. Camara is athletic enough to finish at the rim when he gets downhill, and he’s shown some flashes of short roll playmaking (and Reath is a pretty good floor spacer). Right now, using Camara as a pure spot up shooter, we are basically playing 4v5 on offense and inviting defenses to double team Ant without being able to punish them. Not only did he go 2/7 from three, he was also turning down a lot of semi-open looks he needs to shoot and didn’t do anything to make Dallas stop blitzing Ant.
    * Ant had a terrible game on both ends of the floor, although the rest of the team didn’t do a very good job of punishing Dallas for double teaming the entire game. As a team and a coaching staff you HAVE to be able to punish guys for doubling you in the high PnR and we have not found ways to consistently generate good looks when Dallas has blitzed Ant (which lets them sit back and do it for entire games and erase Ant from the game).
    * Brogdon looked awful and kind of checked out with all the terrible passes he was making, not to mention he didn’t shoot the ball well either.
    * Please no more Jerami Grant direct postups for the love of god. Teams have started to figure out that he can’t pass out of double teams and if you don’t allow him to step through to the rim, it’s either going to be a horrible contested fadeaway or a turnover. Grant is a really talented player and can be really good when he gets the ball in the right spots, but force feeding him the ball in the post is not good offense (unless it’s a late-clock situation or a mismatch).

  4. Scoot tonight:

    17 Points

    10 Assists

    46.7% FG

    42.9% 3PT

    1 TO

    0 FLS

IDC if it was in a blowout he still playing against NBA opposition. Great response from the other night

  5. Murray and Sharpe running into each other and turning the ball over was this game in a nutshell

  6. Scoot efficient 17 and 10 with only 1 turnover is what I’m choosing to take away from This game

  7. And some of you thought rebuilding wouldn’t be fun. Look at all the fun we’re having! Here’s to 150 to 300 more of these!

  8. Didn’t lose by 40!

Trade Brogdon and Grant asap. There’s too much talent on our bench to have them not playing and developing.

  9. Sharpe is allergic to efficient scoring. Jesus what a disappointment of a sophomore season.

  10. These guys play with the zeal of a team whose half its members are on the trading block.

  11. Im now on team “not chauncey”

    Thats pathetic.

A young team that disengaged comes from the top and Idbe curious what a different coach would be able to donwith this roster and development.

  12. Chauncey is the worst thing to happen to this franchise since Neil Olshey. Fuck both of them.

  13. It’s almost Scotty Brooks time, with this young core, he’s the guy to develop them correctly.
