  2. it’s funny that between Soto and Jones, the yankees have perhaps the best LH Power bats in the organization that they’ve had in a long time, and they both just want to to the other way instead of just killing the short porch

    (I know one of them is a prospect, but when’s the last time our #1 prospect was a lefty slugger? even greg bird wasn’t an elite prospect)

  3. It’s only going to get better! He’s now gonna be working out with Judges hitting coach so hopefully he can get him really rolling. So hyped for next year with him.

  4. man that dude has a beautiful swing. Can’t weight to see him up in the bigs. Judge with more speed sounds pretty awesome (less game power than Judge, I’m assuming tho). JD, Jones, Judge and Soto is a crazy combo, made better by having 3/4 either LHB or Switch.

  10. Obviously he’s really interesting and has huge raw power but I think people are getting a little too hyped about a 22 y/o with a .787 OPS in A+. He has tons of swing and miss and people are penciling him in for CF long-term when no one his size has ever done that. If he adds muscle as he gets older (which most guys do) he’ll slow down, which probably makes him a corner OF/1B and raises the offensive bar to be an asset by a lot. Maybe he puts it all together and is awesome but it looks like it’s gonna take at least a couple of years, and by that point Judge and Cole are reaching their mid-30s. Idk man

    PS- Spencer Jones is a speedster. Wants to be known for his athleticism, not his power.
