Arber Xhekaj continues to get it done in Laval especially ever since they paired him with rookie Logan Mailloux as the two form the top pair for Laval and both are playing some very good hockey. Xhekaj picked up his 3rd of the season, and now has 9 points in the last 10 games. Mailloux had 2 assists and now has 17 points in the last 23 games, 19 points in 31. Joshua Roy continues to put points on the board, now has 9 points in the last 10 games. Dobes since being pulled on 12-2 is now 6-1-1 giving up just 18 goals in the 8 games.

Xhekaj is pounding on the door — KH has gotta make a real tangible D trade sooner than later. Guhle to me is the only untouchable — at some point one or two of Matheson/Savard/Kovacevic/Harris/Struble/Barron have to go, imo.

Xhekaj Mailloux pairing reminds me a bit of Komosarek Markov in terms of concept. Let’s hope that Xhekaj can exceed Komisarek, and Mailloix can be half as good as Markov lol
