More interesting than the Knicks

Dunno who this guy is its probably bs but theyve got some young players that could interest portland

  1. I would do it for a pick + salary as opposed to one of their young guys.

They’ve drafted Howard and Black – the last thing the Blazers need is another guard + the magic don’t have any young intriguing forwards that we could target for Brogdon

I’d be looking to get young player for Grant I.e Jarace Walker or Kuminga but with Brog i’d be happy with the pick

  2. I’m hoping the sixers step up, I want their 2029 pick unprotected (doubt embiid’s body holds up to be playing at 35) and a batum reunion (ideal vet presence that won’t take significant minutes). Is it a homer take? Damn right it is, but I’m here for the warm fuzzies

  3. It’s interesting because both NYK and ORL have some stuff POR could be interested in.

Now that Mays has been waived, without Mookie Dew, POR is short a ball handler. You can split time with Ant and Scoot, but one injury / foul trouble, and there’s nobody to bring the ball up the floor. ORL could put together one of the young ball handlers, and an expiring. They have some MIL and BOS stuff in the second round over the years that POR could add to the MIL/BOS collection.

NYK has Fournier’s expiring that would work 1:1 for Mookie Dew, and cut a few more bucks off POR’s books under the tax. They have some draft assets, but they aren’t actually very valuable… Unless POR can get some guaranteed some stuff in the years where POR might not have anything. Like the MIL 2025 top four protected FRP.

Where it gets really interesting, is if you start moving pieces around between all three teams, or as multiple deals with other teams. There’s plenty of ways POR could get involved in trades, other than just Mookie Dew to X for Y.

  4. I said in another thread that we could have offered a better package for Quickley than OG + Malachi and Precious. This was obvious.

    Another missed opportunity.

Grant and Brogdon still on the team. When the Knicks were willing to move their young talent.

  5. so what are we actually looking at here? there’s no way orlando deals paolo or anthony black, so its either brogdon for mitchell/devincenzo vs brogdon for gary harris/wendell carter jr? 🤔
