  1. I mean, I think it just makes Joshua Blueger Garland our second line, which makes Mikheyev Suter Kuz our third which also isn’t bad. Really do need one more top 6 forward. Ideally a true 2c if we’re going this route which I am totally fine with.

  2. I say keep it in your back pocket. Play them together now and then to keep them tight but not enough to let the league get a book on it. You can pull it out in game 7 when you really need it.

  3. I don’t like how thin it makes the second line, but they’re dynamite together so who cares if you want to run it for stretches. Especially 3rd period situations (ozone draws, icings, etc) where you need to press for some shifts.

I hope it does open up Tocchet to the idea of putting Petey with Brock at times too. There were some games where the Miller line was stinky doodoo but he kept them together while Lafferty and Mikheyev were firing muffins in the goalie’s stomach on Petey’s wing. Would be nice if the blender gave them some time together again on nights like that.

  4. Best Petey has looked all season. He was our best player tonight.

Gotta keep them together for at least another game.

  5. Do it and buy a 2C at the deadline. The only problem with the 4th line is there isn’t a stable presence there. If that can be Suter, then I kind of love all four lines

    Lotto
    Kuzmenko-Acquistion(Lindholm?)-Mikheyev
Joshua-Blueger-Garland eg the best third line in the league baby
    Hoglander-Suter-Lafferty

    perfect

  6. Thanks to Bieksa for explaining tonight why they call them the lotto line, I didn’t know and now I love it

  7. If we keep them together then you prob want a legit 2nd line Center.

Not that Suter is bad but in the playoffs we’re just going to need more.

Ideally somebody that can skate and drive a line… though that’s easier said than done.
