This might not be the place to ask this question because the quoted comment doesn’t even include the following phrase, but what the fuck does “fins up” even mean?
Is having a fin in an upwards orientation something dolphins do when engaging enemies?
Furthermore, which fin are they referring to? I’m guessing the dorsal fin, but what would be the benefit of having a higher relative position of the fin our your back? Would you be required to arch your back to achieve pinnacle fin height? Then it might look like you are a dolphin in the fetal position.
I guess they could be referring to one of the two pectoral fins. But if it’s a pectoral fin that should be “up,” it seems like that would be some sort of anthropomorphic gesture of a dolphin needing to ask a question, e.g. “Fins up if you have any questions or need any clarification.”
It sounds so cringey to me either way.
