Not really. Now is his best chance to get paid a ton. Maybe Texas offers him a nice contract that competes with others, maybe not. We’ll see.
BBQ: The food that is notoriously expensive and hard to find anywhere
He pitched well in NY, STL, and TEX. Last year was undoubtedly his best year, but that doesn’t mean leaving a hitters park after winning a ring is dumb. If you look at the peripheral statistics for last year, you’ll see that he’s due for regression and last year was very similar under the hood to years past. His expected era was 4.04 this year, his FIP was 3.56, and Siera was 4.23. He didn’t change into a new pitcher. He’s solid, not great, but overperformed and can benefit from playing well in the playoffs.
I think it would be dumb to take less money when the market has been lifted up by the richest contracts in MLB history.
Waiting for Papa John’s to counter offer for coming back to NYY.
I mean, Texas does have the best BBQ. How could you not stay. Mariners fan.
Monty doesn’t get to decide, Scott Boras does.
I don’t wanna over pay for him personally, if it’s gonna be high prices just go get snell
