Thunder, Griffin Media Announce Plans To Air Remaining Friday Regular-Season Games

This is a big move in the right direction. I am glad they saw that the team was having a great season and this was an opportunity to attract more casual fans. I can’t help but think the arena vote helped with this decision as well.

I’m hoping this is a sign the broadcasting rights will go this direction next year. My 96 year old grandmother loves to watch the thunder, and hearing there were talks about them going to Amazon was worrying to me since she has no idea how to use streaming apps.
The fuck… so ironically these games will now not be available for those of us who use YouTubeTV or something similar? WTF!
Dude this is fucking AWESOME! I was just telling my family during the holidays how I think it’s ridiculous these teams do not broadcast on local TV. This is how you build a fan base. There is a reason the NFL is the biggest sports league, and it’s not because football is everyone’s favorite sport.
