[Woj] The Grizzlies are waiving center Bismack Biyombo, sources tell ESPN. He made a good impact with franchise and could be brought back again. Memphis is expected to add another big on a newly available two-way contract.

  1. I’d definitely take him

Worry he’d end up completely taking Woods minutes though, don’t want to see any AD/LBJ/Cam/Biyombo type lineups

  2. He’s so good that we missed out on signing him and got waived from a team that played him regular mins. Hmmm

  3. Pelinka i think you are a very smart person. Lets pls waive hayes and bring Biyombo which shouldve done 4 months ago

  4. Biyombo would be a good pickup. But shouldn’t take any of woods minutes. Play Wood as PF next to him and watch magic happen

  5. Great opportunity to bring in an experienced center that can bang in the paint and gives us another dimension of play.

  6. Lakers better sign him. All he has to do is box out, set hard screens and deter/block shots at the rim.

  7. Trade gabe for dennis, pickup biyombo and trade Hayes and one of our rookies for N. Richards
    PG-Dlo SG*-Christie/Cam SF-Prince PF-James C-Davis
    PG-Dennis SG-Reaves SF*-Rui/Vando PF-Wood C*-Richards/Biyombo

*= (based on who’s having a better particular game. Darvin.). Good complementary lineups. Rotations determine so much for this team it’s unreal

  8. Omg if we don’t pick him up ASAP we don’t want to win!

The closest thing to a Dwight today, in terms of talent/cost

  9. Sheesh I didn’t expect Grizzlies to waive him. Definitely a solid backup big if AD misses a game

  10. A team with a glaring need for a center just cut him. And he didn’t get signed until well into the regular season.

This isn’t 2k, he’s not gonna impact like you think.

  11. I think he would be a nice add with the last roster spot, but we’re not going to do it. The front office has shown they prefer to keep that last spot open. That makes sense going into the trade deadline. Also waiving Hayes makes no sense since we’re already so close to the hard cap. He’s salary filler at this point.

  12. This is the one. Him getting 5 million from the griz is why we couldn’t get him earlier.

The only issue is with wood playing better, Biyombo wouldn’t be guaranteed minutes…would he come for a situational role? Or go somewhere else for a bigger promised role?
