  1. FYI the longest tenured is Greg Popovich, been coaching the Spurs since **1996**

The second in the NFL behind Tomlin is Harbaugh

  2. Ravens rivalry is now officially the best in the NFL. I look forward to those 2 or 3 games every year.

Also, McVay is now a top 5 tenured coach? Wow. The two youngest coaches to ever win a super bowl are now two of the top 5 tenured coaches.

  3. On Facebook, every Tomlin hater has 1-3 things in their profile picture:

    1.) sunglasses, usually reflective
    2.) a fish
3.) a hairline on life support.

    Every. Single. Time. It’s incredible.

A [Chiefs](https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/1940khj/longest_tenured_active_hcs_1_tomlin_2_harbaugh_3/khegses/) fan on /r/nfl had a pretty good take

    > Because you’re a Steeler fan. All the rest of us have been on the Coaching Carousel.

    >Consider 1970. There were 28 NFL head coaches at the beginning of time. By 1975, only 8 of those guys were still around, and 7 of those 8 are Hall of Famers. One being Chuck Noll, of course. Which is why you cannot know how the pain every other franchise has felt. You haven’t hired some helpless coach, thrown them back, tried again and again and again. You guys complain about a coach who never had a losing record in a single season. **The rest of us have a list of coaches who never had a single winning season.** Speaking for the Chiefs, we have Paul Wiggins, Tom Bettis, Frank Ganz, and Romeo Crennel. That’s not even including guys who managed one winning season out of three or four, like John Mackovic or Marv Levy.

    >In all the years of the Chiefs, and all the coaches of the Chiefs, we’ve had about as many good coaches as the Steelers. You’ve had Noll, Cowher, and Tomlin, and we’ve had Stram, Schottenheimer, Vermeil, and Reid. And nine other fucking guys. But the Chiefs have been pretty successful over the years, with a winning percentage well over 500. Most NFL teams have had fewer good coaches than you’ve had total coaches.

A playoff win is the looming issue. I love remaining competitive, but Tomlin needs to get that monkey off his back. Hopefully this Sunday.

  5. Who cares?  How many super bowls?  Basically 1/2 of one…. Inherited the already super bowl caliber juggernaut team cowher built with so many veterans and excellent assistant coaches, they coached themselves.

So yes, sign me up for the “he needs to go to” brigade
