Potential Closers (In House) Kyle Hurt, Dustin May, Jake Pilarski, Ronan Kopp, Carlos De Los Santos, Michael Hobbs, Juan Morillo, Benony Robles, Madison Jeffrey, Reynaldo Yean. All very good candidates to be a closer, IMO. Hader would be nice, only at 1 to 2 yrs. though. #Dodgers

1. May, Pilarski, Morillo, Jeffrey, Yean, have all hit 100, some +.

   Hurt has hit 99, Kopp 98 and still on an uptick, Hobbs is the all time saves leader in the history of Saint Mary’s College, and Robles and De Los Santos are 2 pitchers that took some of the biggest leaps of any pitchers in the org. last year.

2. If May is able to come back from this injury, I would love to see him converted to closer.

3. Is May expected to be back before the end of this year?

4. I’m not advocating for signing Hader, but of the guys you mentioned, May is still recovering from surgery and the rest have a combined 2 IP in the Majors.

   We’re not going to give such an important role to a rookie when we’re trying to win a championship.

5. Are we all forgetting we have a reliable closer in Evan Phillips?

8. Been saying for a couple years . It’s gotta be May with his stuff and it would help persevere his arm. Could be a different arc like Adam wainwright had.

12. Problem w May as closer is he, at this point, does not throw strikes consistently. So I can see where he may blow a few saves from walks creating RISP

13. I think May as a closer is very, very interesting. Especially if it allows him to pitch more years.

14. Phillips is great but you don’t pay him after this year, IMHO.

15. Call me woke but following Dustin May on IG makes me not care to see him pitch that much.
